And that's the problem. They are typically a "good" team. They are never a "great" team.
Now every once in awhile they can be a "bad" team, and to be fair given the lame duck status of McCarthy this could be a team that gives up and implodes on themselves, but more often than not they are a "good" team. Just never a great team. Good teams win divisions here and there and make the playoffs. But they also get bounced early and are never a threat.
That's Dallas. Rarely bad, mostly good, never great. And that's all because the GM is cheap and at some point in his GM tenure became scared of taking risks and pushing the chips all in.
