yea we should get rid of bledsoe...i cant believe he got burnt on those 2 touchdown passes:rolleyes:

No that was a rookie who gave up those TD's passes, thats understandable. Bledsoe is far from a rookie even though he's playing like one..

Drew is done here in Dallas after this year, IMHO. Tony Romo will be the starter, maybe even before the end of this season.

Who hear wants to see this? I know I do. I like Drew. I really do. But he is becoming a liability. He has great games against inferior teams. And then teams like the Iggles come around, where we know we are the better team overall, and he ends up making costly mistakes.

I know... I know... it's not all Drew's fault. But I am beginning to question Drew's accuracy and decision making. He is losing what Romo has found... and that is his moxie and confidence. I believe players on this team are slowly beginning to lose faith in Bledsoe as each game passes. No pun intended.

Who cares about next year?

Anything can happen between now and TC next year!

For example: Parcells could retire and that means a whole new coaching staff, because Jones will probably hire another "experienced" HC and that will cause Zimmer take a HC job someplace else and probably take a few coaches with him as well. Also, players like Bledsoe, T. Glenn, Adams, Ellis, Barber, A. Johnson, Crayton among many others could all be trade bait next year. I think this team could easily fall apart without Parcells at the helm. Jones might finally go after a QB with the 1st pick and that person (Palmer, Edwards, Kolb, J. Russell etc) could simply beat out Romo in TC. Then, you're basically looking at the 2001 season all over again with a rookie starting at QB. Bledsoe to me, is like our Danny White right now in Dallas and Romo is more like Steve Pelluer, Gary Hogeboom or Kevin Sweeney...take your pick.

Don't go dreaming so much about next year...it could be a nightmare!

Man.. You're really making me labor today with this nail on the head icon. :p: Just for good measure, you have once again :hammer:

Bleedslow = 14 yr vet that takes 10 yard sacks like a rookie.
Watkins = ROOKIE

Let's please not mix apples with oranges. Thanks.

Most fans on the board see what Bledsoe is doing for us. Again, I like Bledsoe but he's hurting us.

Oh that was a bad idea. I got yelled at two days ago in a thread for NOT comparing Romo to Brett Favre and Tom Brady...dead serious.

So lemme save everyone the hassle:
How dare u compare Romo to Steve Pelluer! He's the next Roger Staubach! In fact, that doesn't even do him justice. He's actually a combo of Staubach, Aikman, and Elway with Vick's speed and Favre's heart. He is the Super QB and Parcells is the Anti-Christ for keeping him on the bench! Pelluer!!! Give us a break!!!

For the record, you may have read somehwere that Romo is the next great thing but it was not from me or the majority of the Bledsoe gotta go crowd.

I am sick of Bledsoe, but I am in no way sold on Romo. Not one tiny bit. However, Dallas has committed four years and now money to Romo. At sometime you have to find out what he is made of.

Yeah Bledsoe played miserably that last game, but Parcells is a proven coach and there's a reason he's sticking with Drew.

That reason is he plays not to lose instead of trying to win the game. He's scared a young QB would make mistakes, like throwing interceptrions while trying to force the action. He's scared a young QB will see all out blitzes the whole game. He's scared a young QB might fumble snaps or take sacks for large losses. It's ironic that everthing he's scared of with a young QB he already has in Bledsoe. I say it's time to hire a coach who plays to win instead of trying not to lose the game!!

It was a mistake to ever sign a guy like Bledsoe, who had no upside.

That said, I think many of you are going to wish you still had him when Romo starts at QB for the Cowboys. I think he's going to be a bigger flop that STeve Palleur was.

We don't know what we have in Romo and we never will until he actually sees the field for something more than holding kicks. We do know what we have in Bledsoe and it is very little. The QB situation has to be addressed for the future of this team. Find out if Romo is the guy, if not then it's time to go to the drawing board in next years draft with the most important position on the field. Bledsoe will get us an early trip home from the playoffs at best. With Romo we may not make the playoffs but we will find out what we have for the future.

I tend to agree with you. It is sad that in 3 1/2 years the only thing that BP has done for our future at the QB position is fill it with an undrafted free agent that he won't even let sniff the field. I really hope Romo has it but I do kinda of doubt it.

"Dude," the burden of proof isn't on me (perhaps you didn't read the rest of the thread). My argument is with people who say Romo "couldn't possibly" do worse than Bledsoe. I'm not saying Romo wouldn't do better than Bledsoe--he quite possibly could--but he could also possibly be worse. Can you really argue with that?

So your argument is that we need to stick with the guy we already knows sucks, because the other guy possibly could suck:confused:

Are you actually serious here? Because a rookie gets burned for a pair of TDs is justification for playing a QB that sucks......WOW

The two have nothing to do with one another. I could make the case the it is Zimmerman's fault for calling a stupid corner blitz with our slowest DB and leaving the only staring rookie on defense matched up one on one with an outside receiver. Most DCs in the league would try to help their rookie, not leave him on a freaking island. Man that Zimmerman is a genius:lmao:

BTW, if Ellis doesnt whiff on the sack, the ball is never thrown for a TD.

Do you actually watch any of the games before you comment?

Beast cannot believe some of the arguments on this board for keeping Bledslow as the starter. It is starting to get comical now.:lmao:

A mid-round rookie gets beat for a pair of TDs and that is the equivalent of a 14yr starter throwing pics and missing wide open receivers.

WOW:eek:

What he's saying is that there are other holes that exist besides Bledsoe. Roy Williams blew coverage/tackle help on the big plays. We were a top 5 defense going into that game...we shouldn't have gotten picked apart by those wide receivers. In the NFL, switchin around QBs mid-season rarely works. Delhomme and Brady are exceptions to the hundreds of times that it hasn't worked. Just look at the Cowboys since Aikman was cut. We've switched plenty of starters like u guys are asking for and it has gotten us nowhere.

Now is not the time. We have a sound D and a good running attack. Bledsoe can get it together quicker than Romo's adjustment period. If we really had this big of a gem like people say, he wouldn't have been 3rd on the depth chart for the last 3 years.

The Ellis "whiff on a sack" sentence was cute though. If every defensive play works out as planned, the Eagles don't gain a first down or score the entire game either. Great analysis buddy.

Not great analysis, it is called watching the freaking game. :laugh2:

See, us who want Romo to start actually want to accomplish something this year....it is called winning.

With Bledslow, we all know what we have and another 9-7 season is not that thrilling, maybe to you it is.

Look Bledsoe ruined a small portion of my life last year in that Seattle game. He just keeps adding to it now, so I understand all this. I just have a great feeling that Romo is about as good as everyone else we've switched up with in the past few years and that hasn't worked out much. Right now, he's only the backup because we cut Henson. Otherwise, he's been 3rd string. How can somebody like that be an answer to getting above 9-7? Plus, if that Washington game last year goes the other way...with Roy not blowing coverage twice in a row and Brunell not closing his eyes and throwing it far as he can twice...we're 10-6 and in the playoffs. There are other factors that play into things. Yeah Bledsoe isn't gonna get us there by himself like Peyton Manning could, but the supporting guys could def. help him out more.
