The running game is not the only thing suffering in the first half. It will be interesting to see how the defense does against a formidable offense.

We do not dominate on the run untill the opposing D is worn down. For all those claiming we are doing well running the ball- look at the first half stats.
It is going to come back and haunt us- especially in the bad weather games that we will have sooner or later. Bottom line is that we are not able to impose our will running the ball untill the second half IF WE HAVE been able to wear them down. Certain people here can bleat and cry and whatever about the whole game stats- it does not explain the first half lack of a running game.

and how do you think the opposing D gets worn down?

Just to remind everyone, but the 90's are over. Those teams had at least 5 first ballot hall of famers on it (Aikman, Irvin, Smith, Sanders, and Allen). This team may have one (Owens). The 90's team had possibly one of the best O-Lines EVER. Allen, Step and Williams were All-Pro players. Newton and Tui were Pro Bowl players. Weak links on that line were guys like Gogan and Gesek. We will never have a line like that again. Can we just enjoy this team in this era of football and stop comparing them to the 90's? You will never see a team like that again, ever...those 90's teams would roll over New England and Indy, the supposed class of the league this year. We are a young team that is starting to find itself. That 90's team did not find itself until after getting our doors blown off in Detroit in the playoffs. Let's root for this team and stop penalizing it for not being the 90's team. We are a good team that can go deep in the playoffs if we grow as the year goes on. I would rather enjoy this then have to watch another decade of Switzers, Gaileys and Campos. Relax, sit back and enjoy the ride...stop trying to pick apart every aspect of the team that is not perfect.

FWIW-on that 2nd possession of the game(after the pick 6), JJ DID have a couple of nice runs before Romo's 2nd INT.

If anything, if Romo had limited his mistakes, we were well on our way to FINALLY successfully running the ball all 4 quarters.
