We really went from Anthony Brown and Noah Brown to Stephen Gilmore and Brandin Cooks.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Edit: And we got them for next to nothing too.
In that context alone, it's a very good offseason

The Cowboys are their fifth teams. Let that sink in. They’re good players, but both are bouncing around the league and may not be here very long. I would still rather have Cooper than Cooks.

And they've been very good players on all those teams.

Houston and Indy are in rebuild mode. They wanted to clear cap space and get more draft picks. Them being traded had nothing to do with their current level of production.

We also went from Mcgovern to some scrub named chung or whatever. From bad to worse.

Their current level of play is still pretty good, but it isn’t what it was. Both are getting up in years, especially Gilmore who could be gone after a year or two and the same for Cooks. It’s not like the Cowboys are set for a number of years at that those two positions.

It’s the best free agency period the cowboys have had in a long time. I’m very happy about it. Only thing missing is a better DT and LG. Though I expect at least one of those positions to be addressed in the draft.

I really wonder why everyone is loving this off season so much, lol. Jesus, if this is our best off season then we truly do have the worst FO in the entire league.

- Filled a couple of second and third row seats.
- Didn't really address the DT stop the rungame hole
- made a couple of "we love our guys" signings
-o line still shaky
- tried to correct a couple of mistakes from the past (Zeke)
- kicker?

I mean what gives? This off season just means more mediocrity up ahead once again.

Now we still have the draft and there of course is alot of time to make some trades, but so far this has been nothing to rave on about. Fans really are getting used to "average".

Aligning your excuses already I see.
Excuses for what? LOL

The team is what it is, no better, no less.

They also lost Shultz that hasn't been replaced.

Then there are other teams. Niners have improved.

This is probably all a little to complicated for you, but thats reality.

Kinda hilarious listening to a troll like you predict doom, gloom and no playoffs and then cry about it when we get knocked out in the 2nd round.

A lot of us would rather have had Cooper, but he’s gone and we have to move on. It doesn’t matter if it’s their 6th, 7th, or 8th teams, they are still better than Anthony Brown & Noah Brown. Brown was no slouch, but he’s not in Gilmore’s league at all. Noah Brown was a try hard 4th/5th string guy at best, and was never a deep threat.

You think this is Madden?

We went 12-5 last year and retained all key talent from last year's roster. In years past, it seemed like a couple of guys we could afford but just didn't want to pay would leave and their positions would be addressed in the draft causing thr front office to reach on a couple of picks.

Added players like Gilmore and Cooks-2 former first round picks who are still playing at a high level.

And it's not like there were any huge free agent signings this year that were a good fit for our needs.

The front office trimmed fat by cutting Zeke and reworking Tyron Smith's deal.

I don't see us any weaker with the players we lost.

Maybe the Bears have had a better offseason but they had like 100 million in cap space to work with.

All things considered this has been an excellent offseason.
