Honestly, I’m just a normal fan. Mostly upbeat, mostly hopeful, TRYING to wring some enjoyment out of this. That doesn’t include hours of research to “win” online arguments with gridiron gurus who guarantee failure.

If Dallas falls short of a Super Bowl, you’ll no doubt enjoy the “validation” of your analyzing prowess. Enjoy the awards banquet!
Buddy I do research because I care about the team. Chung is a backup signing that has some starting experience. Sorry the truth bothers you. You want to talk positive bring up a good player.

If Chung is starting at guard you should be very disappointed.

DT, TE, RB and G are still needed. I think the draft could get us there if we can grab guys that can contribute YR 1.

By the way, I hope we go OL in the first or second!

If you cant handle realistic talk about football players then lets move on. Do you want me to lie to you?
Of course not. I’m a “glass half full” guy, and you’re a “glass half empty” guy, that’s all.

I’ll be honest…I was always more impressed with Jarwin as a catcher. Neither were great blockers. I always felt Schultz was great for a 4th rounder and more than made the pick worth it but soon as it was time to sign that contract it wasn’t worth it.
Loved Jarwin's flashes but he never got his shot full time. Witten in the way in 2019. 27 & 31 receptions in his first two seasons on the roster after being on the practice squad some as a rookie. Then he got hurt when he was going to be the guy and Schultz took over. Hendershot looks like the same type as Jarwin, more of a WR; even a little bit Novacek looking. Ferguson surprised me, he flashed better skills than Schultz and he's a better blocker.

Cheap depth.

Tyron, Tyler, Badass, Martin, Steele should start.

Backups? Waletzko, Farniok, Chung, draft
Tyron will be hurt before the season starts or shortly after. Steele wont be 100% by the first game. I see those two guys as one starting tackle with the other guy being a great swing tackle. Tyler should be starting at LT for the remainder of his career. I thinks its paramount and likely they take a guard in the first or 2nd round and he starts.

Or they take a OT in the first they cant pass up and they can play Tyler at guard or switch the pick to guard.

If your Oline is the starting line with Chung as the backup you can kiss any chance of improved Oline play gone and therefore kiss away any shot of a deep playoff run.

I feel THAT strongly about Oline play.

Agree. Seems like Hendeshot is even built like Novacek as well.

I think most of us value OL play. While it’s not ideal for ANY team to play backups for any extended period of time, as Parcells once said—you can’t have steak on every plate. Whether it’s McGovern or Chung, we’re pretty much in the same boat. I imagine they’ll draft someone. Not ready to push the panic button yet.

Oline wasnt good enough last year. It has to get better. Tyron is a part time player. Steele coming off major injury.

Chung is a downgrade. This line is in trouble. Need a high pick on a guard and need him to be a stud.

Just look at next season.

-Tyron gone
-Steele FA
-Biadasz FA
-Martin another year older

I see us starting the season with…
Tyron, Tyler, Badass, Martin, Steele or Waletzko. When Tyron gets hurt…
Tyler, draft, Badass, Martin, Steele

2 or 3 years from now, who knows? It’s a year to year league, and I’m focused on enjoying the now.

Thing that frustrated me with Schultz was him coming out of college as a supposedly decent blocker. It's obvious he honed in on his receiving skills and neglected to work on his blocking. It makes sense, when the money and glory is for pass catchers. If he was an all around TE I'd have been in favor of re-signing. He wasn't and there were a few times he rounded off his routes and drew coverage towards our target, which resulted in ints. That type of stuff infuriated me. Alot of whiffs on his part hurt this team and often times when we had a nice run he wasn't in on the play. I'm happy to see Ferguson do his thing this year, or even upgrade in round one if it's bpa.

I dont believe Chung is here to start. Last I heard McGovern and Farniok were very close. I think there's a chance he starts.

Also wouldn't be suprised to see Tyler Smith in that spot, or a round 1 player.
