I just cant deal with these kinds of low standards. And no chung is not better. Go to talk with someone else about this kind of nonsense.
Being upbeat and hopeful instead of guaranteeing failure is “low standards”? Sorry, uh no.

We went from Cooper, Lamb, and Gallup to Cooks, Lamb, and Gallup.
We had Cooper on the team last year?

Did you mean to say we went from Irvin, Lamb and Gallup?

Maybe Pearson, Lamb and Gallup?

Or, maybe it was Lamb, Brown and then eventually Gallup.

This was a sorry pool of free agents that Dallas didn’t tap into with any outrageous contract yet managed to retain two, key defenders and added Cooks and Gillmore. Pretty, darn good resul.

i guess you forget we started last year NO COOPER, NO Ced, No Gallup , no jawrin..that was 2021..

it was Lamb starting his first year at WR1 and Brown was his 2nd and Tolbert 3rd.. Gallup eventually got back but never 100%

NOW

we have Lamb, cooks and Gallup all should be starting healthy. Umm that huge difference to come into game 1 with..plus hopefully semi and or Tolbert can step up and take Browns #4 slot..Just maybe MM and this OC will find a way to use Turpin in the slot more. this just has better feel to it.. but cooks to ne is solid replacement for cooper, he will help the others get open more.a real threat..

If you cant handle realistic talk about football players then lets move on. Do you want me to lie to you?

Definitely big difference coming into this year and last year at any time at the WR position.

We are weaker at pass catching TE, however. Lets see what the draft brings us.

In regards to Schultz...I mean the NFL itself didn't seem that in demand for him. Just a guy who Dak probably made look better than he really was.

Exactly, and took advantage of an offense with CD, Coop and the rbs. He wasn't a primary concern for any of the defenses we faced.

Hes a good not great pass catcher, with limited tools and blocks like crap. There are TEs who can get away with not being great blockers, he isn't one of them.

I never said anything about a gap. Simply pointing out that we lost Shultz and were worse there. Most people fail to mention that.

The team has improved in areas and are weaker in others.

Understood, and I will still maintain its not going to be much of a loss. The TEs we have will step up. The improvement in other areas is more than enough to be a net positive. That's my take, for what little it is worth.

Isn't Quentin Johnston another Dez type WR? Runs poor routes but makes plays when the ball is in the air? Isn't that type not a good fit for Dak?

Isn't Gervon Dexter below average in quickness and getoff on the snap and a poor pass rusher? (2 sks in 2022 and 2.5 sks in 2021) Isn't that the exact opposite of what Quinn and the Cowboys not only look for but won't take high if they don't have pass rush ability?
Honestly it’s a draft simulator but at 29 ranked player he’s probably not a bad pick up
The DT was positional need and the others I’d rather have were gone

Im going to wait until the draft. These upgrades in other areas wont be enough if they dont address the hole at guard and get another good RB to team with Pollard. Wouldnt mind another TE as well. Some great TE's in this draft.

If a Kelce or Kittle type TE is there, they need to draft him.
I like what I seen from Ferguson and Hendershot. And they like McKeon as well. But you can't pass on a strong game changing TE.
Can't expect any of the TE's on the roster will be the next Witten for the team.

A top TE can open up the passing game for the WR's, giving Dak more open targets. Therefore opening up the run game. Still need to address the OL as well.
I would be ok with the top picks at OL, TE, then a LB or RB. But they are in good enough shape to go BPA.

My dream draft would be Mayers the TE from ND in the first, Avilla in the 2nd and either Isreal Abanukanda or Kendre Miller in the 3rd or 4th.

You gotta get behind some of these great young backs in the draft my man. This is an incredible draft for backs. I have spent hours going over them and many would look amazing paired with Pollard.

I’ll be honest…I was always more impressed with Jarwin as a catcher. Neither were great blockers. I always felt Schultz was great for a 4th rounder and more than made the pick worth it but soon as it was time to sign that contract it wasn’t worth it.

Mayers can also block. So you add a stud guard and and a stud like Mayers that can open up the pass and block and its a two for one.

Funny thing though is the great tight ends were never high picks. Most are mid round guys. And the guys taken in the first are typically busts who never get a second contract.

Very very true.
Crazy how that’s happened. Wouldn’t stop me from taking one late in the first but just interesting. Ravens drafted Mark Andrews and Hayden Hurst…who saw Andrews having the better career? Hurst was a first rounder and they drafted Andrews in the same draft rounds later..

Its much like RB it appears.

I just see Mayer as a cant miss type talent. And I love his emotion and leadership. Dak would fall in love with the kid.

I read. Chung is a backup and was brought in as a backup. At that point, nothing matters about who he is better than. Mcgovern wasnt good enough and neither is Chung.

I could ask you the same question. Maybe do a little research before you argue just to argue.
Honestly, I’m just a normal fan. Mostly upbeat, mostly hopeful, TRYING to wring some enjoyment out of this. That doesn’t include hours of research to “win” online arguments with gridiron gurus who guarantee failure.

If Dallas falls short of a Super Bowl, you’ll no doubt enjoy the “validation” of your analyzing prowess. Enjoy the awards banquet!

By the way, I hope we go OL in the first or second!
