A lot of us would rather have had Cooper, but he’s gone and we have to move on. It doesn’t matter if it’s their 6th, 7th, or 8th teams, they are still better than Anthony Brown & Noah Brown. Brown was no slouch, but he’s not in Gilmore’s league at all. Noah Brown was a try hard 4th/5th string guy at best, and was never a deep threat.
Both players are definitely an upgrade over what we had but some fans are going wat overboard thinking those acquisitions are going to put us in the Super Bowl. The expectations for the team are starting to go to sky high again.

Excuses for what? LOL

The team is what it is, no better, no less.

They also lost Shultz that hasn't been replaced.

Then there are other teams. Niners have improved.

This is probably all a little to complicated for you, but thats reality.

Kinda hilarious listening to a troll like you predict doom, gloom and no playoffs and then cry about it when we get knocked out in the 2nd round.
Maybe wait just a bit longer Roy, let's have just a little patience.

April 27th is quickly approaching, and we have some quality picks to be made, and have a lot more youth and depth on this team than you are giving them credit for.

Did you know when we drafted rooks like Bland, Williams etc.. that we would be getting early results from?

Im just asking this honestly because this roster has more back bone than you give it credit for.

There are admittedly some depth question marks, like can Cox actually show something, something that he clearly possesses, it has Qs meaurables, BIO for that transitional safety/LB hybrid that he covets and seeks annually.

So if we are going to talk about depth let's not even begin to ponder what Q might do with a player like Marquise Bell, we tend to overlook the potential transcendence of untapped talent hovering around the deeep end of the pool bro.

We can even talk about some crazy stuff we will be doing at LB early in camp there will be a buzz with the open eyes early in camp on this back seven looking extremely large with speed to boot.

Retaining Kearse was some solid cement to this secondary, when you start looking at what we already have there compared to our immediate comp in the NFC, our rivals, I would take our secondary before all others, hands down now.

Maybe Iam being irrational.

Just saying take a chill pill, and try and ponder this roster a tad bit deeper than the immediate surface, and I wouldnt be surpised if we add another solid draft with some early contributors as well coming soon to a town near you brother.

Hey I love what we have done so far. Punting Emmitt makes the offense better all by itself. If Jones grabs a guard in he first, TE, RB I see no reason why we arent one of the top 3 teams in the NFC finally.

But that doesnt mean we wont have injuries and it doenst mean we cant be beat in the playoffs by a team like the Niners. Having a legitimate SB contender doesnt mean you have to win the SB that first year. And if you dont it certainly doenst mean its the QB's fault.

MM is the guy under the gun here. Its what else does MM need, not Dak. Dak is just the leader of the offense.

I really wonder why everyone is loving this off season so much, lol. Jesus, if this is our best off season then we truly do have the worst FO in the entire league.

- Filled a couple of second and third row seats.
- Didn't really address the DT stop the rungame hole
- made a couple of "we love our guys" signings
-o line still shaky
- tried to correct a couple of mistakes from the past (Zeke)
- kicker?

I mean what gives? This off season just means more mediocrity up ahead once again.

Now we still have the draft and there of course is alot of time to make some trades, but so far this has been nothing to rave on about. Fans really are getting used to "average".

You're typing just to type. You have no idea what you're actually talking about.

We really went from Anthony Brown and Noah Brown to Stephen Gilmore and Brandin Cooks.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Edit: And we got them for next to nothing too.
We went from zeke to no zeke

Imagine what we could do without Zekes dead money and if our average QB was being paid like an average QB.

What type of off-season are we having? It must be decent, because it has not been as bad from posts as in the past. As for the sky is falling type stuff.
On the other hand, it is the typical sky is drooping stuff. At least not fallen.
:muttley:

On paper the team is no worse off, and slightly better. With a strong draft, to improve upon that. That slight improvement plus a strong draft may be all it takes.
Especially with the state of the NFC as of now.
Also with the coaching staff changes, has been for the better as well.

Jerry & Son, Inc., has not done anything outrageous in the negative direction yet. But we do have 4 weeks until the draft. I don't see much happening until then.

Maybe we will get to see where his big boat is, possibly in Italy again, or the North Pole stuck in some ice with Rudolph laughing at them.

I think it’s because so far, this is the best offseason fans have seen in over a decade. Understandable to be excited. Team is finally making moves. I don’t know about a Super Bowl, but on paper, they sure are a lot closer today than they’ve been in the past. Now let’s have a great draft and hope it all translates onto the field.

Their current level of play is still pretty good, but it isn’t what it was. Both are getting up in years, especially Gilmore who could be gone after a year or two and the same for Cooks. It’s not like the Cowboys are set for a number of years at that those two positions.
Yet when the philly makes these moves its great isnt slay, suh and Johnson all over 30?those are off the top of my head, they've had more older vets come to them this place applauds them but you all want to downplay it when Jonses do it??,

the league is year is year and teams already winning, just retool , not rebuild. you need payers like this to do that..

lots of teams do this OBJ how many teams so far? Wagner 2 teams but 3 stops many wanted him hes older, Hopkins looking for his 3rd team? Ramseys and Von on their 3rd, this is not new a concept, players like Brandon Marshall, Keyshawn, TO, and others moved around but were good wherever they went until they retired. biggest name i can remember is Dieon Sanders , dude was a nomad LOL 5 teams if you needed a reminder.

we can worry about 2024 next offseason. maybe a draft pick or player in a recent past draft will be ready by then...for this year, these are great moves.
