Late in the fourth quarter cowboys up by six . fourth and five for first down. Maybe six I truly don’t recall. Well I do recall his watching McCarthy on the sidelines and I know he wanted to go for it. We kick a field goal. If Prescott was in there do you think McCarthy kicks that field goal. I don’t.

I still believe he kicks it because Maher has been money and the Rams needed two TDs to beat us. Our defense was playing lights out pressuring Stafford almost every play. It was going to be a tough chore for the Rams to put up two TDs in just over five minutes facing our relentless pass rush.

And then Dak proceeds to overthrow his target and we turn over the ball and everyone blames Mike for being dumb. I’ve seen this movie many times before.

Let's not overthink this thing and make it about the QBs -- a field goal puts the game out of reach for a win by an LA team that couldn't do diddly vs. our defense. That field goal simply put the cherry on the cake for us.

The Rams needed 3 1/2 quaters to score 10 points. We go up 2 scores with a FG. Do you think the Rams are able to score twice with 6 mins left ? Now way. Especially when they now had to pass. What they couldnt do the whole game because of the pressure they faced.

This was the right call. It had nothing to do with the QB.

It’s still not the point that people are missing. Are you telling me you don’t think Mike McCarthy wouldn’t think about going for it if Prescott was behind center. Personally we did exactly what we should have.

I agree that’s not my point though. The point was McCarthy probably would’ve gone for six.

Well that wasnt (exactly) your initial question. You question was "if Prescott was in there". And i told you what i think. I think going for the three was the right call regardless of the QB.

IDK what MM would have thought if Prescott was in. I would just hope he would think the same way as me. Of course i know MM had some questionable decissions here, so maybe you are right and he thought about going for it.

And no i didnt see that look in his face you described. I think you are interpreting too much into things.I mean maybe he thought "thanks lord that Prescott wasnt able to play, we would never be in a situation to kick the winning FG."

Who the heck knows what MM is thinking ? I mean the way he eats he must have high colesterol and high blood pressure. So his brain wont function that well anyways ;-)

I know what your point was and I think you’re wrong. It didn’t matter who he had at QB at that stage of the game. He had a lot of confidence in the way his defense was playing to protect a 12 point lead with just over five minutes to play.

Then you are making a terrible decision.

How do you guys not see that kicking the FG puts us up two scores? Monumentally important.

Making a terrible mistake kicking the field goal? I would kick it. If that is what your implying.

I am a Cooper fan, but it seems like the coaches want to use him as a game manager until Dak gets back. And that certainly won't change this week, unless they get far behind.
