Good thread; great initial post.
Jerry has been a fantastic owner and I believe he truly cares about the people working with/for him.
I think Jerry's character is what has attracted so many players to him. Irvin is a great example. Jerry stood by him when common sense said not to. Jerry develops a very strong sense of loyalty among many of the players.
I also understand the needless jabs so many people take. I've been a member here for a while but do not post a ton for that very reason. I love to read about Cowboys' news, but choose to do so without the other stuff. That said, the good posters on this site far outnumber those with issues. I've had personal correspondence with a few and they are all of very high character.
I feel confident Jerry will take care of the people impacted by the collapse of the facility. I also believe (and I'm probably in the minority on this point) that he will build us another winning team. He has changed his GM style more than once since taking ownership of the Boys. What gets lost in all of this is just how tough it is to win a playoff game, much less a Superbowl. I think Jerry will get it done again before he retires.
