This is Why We Are Spoiled As A Fanbase

Unfortunately, many of our fans are not old enough to remember Landry much less his golden age. I barely remember the tail end of Landry's era as that was when my father explained to me the rules of the game watching Danny White run around. This is even moreso for the TO fans as I imagine the vast majority of them are under the age of 25. A lot of them don't even recall the first of the Triplet's SB runs.

I think the majority of the issues that you are talking about stem from the likes of JJE and Galloway which for some reason people just seem to eat up. Heck even Bayless turned being a negative nancy into a national gig.

Its just the day and age. Most of the current generation grew up with their baby boomer parents abusing credit and trying to gratify everything instantly. Its just the nature of the beast.

I think of Landry's 29 (?) years as HC, all his winning seasons, and I am surprised they only won two championships.

yup...maybe he wasn't so great after all.

Frustrated maybe. We have a team that can compete but we seem to fall short. 2007 was ours, 2008 was injuries...

2008 was a hell of a lot more than injuries. I wish people would stop using that as an excuse and be honest about 2008, the team stunk because it had too many quitters on it.

The lockerroom was full of outcasts. It just didn't make for good cohesiveness.

Flo was playing hurt and we lost 2 solid left guards. That alone ruined our offense and yet we still won 9 games. I won't bother to list the other 20 players....

Quitters, yeah there were a few of those to.

Just cause you post it doesnt mean its true.

Show me a post where I am being a "crybaby"
I often post both sides of a situation. Some just conveniently only point out the skeptical or posts where I dont like whats going on with team.

Take the time my friend, show me a crying post by me.

Jerry Jones loves fans who are perfectly content with the .500 (and worse) clubs he's put together over the last dozen years. It's allowed him to continue playing fantasy football with an actual team, while building the costliest sports facility the world has ever seen.

Without the homers who are perfectly content with the seemingly endless string of 9-7 and 5-11 seasons, he'd still be stuck in Texas Stadium. I think I can speak for him when I say "thanks", from the bottom of Jerry's heart.

I love it. He "backed me up" even though in that case it was me who commented and backed him up.

I love it how if anyone agrees with me it is "back up." Talk about insecurity.

SuperBowl 30 was the last good thing and it wasn't a fun SuperBowl.

Yippee, I'm not the only one who feels this way. I guess misery loves company.:)

Seriously, Super Bowl XXX left me with an empty feeling. Maybe it's because the game was too close for comfort. Maybe deep down inside I knew that we wouldn't be back on the big stage for a loooong time. On the surface, I felt like the Cowboys were strong enough to contend a while longer, but free agency ate away the roster and the coaching staff. And Jimmy had already left. I feel depressed just thinking about it.

People who call us bandwagon fans haven't been paying attention. You have to be diehard to follow the Dallas Cowboys. There is a lot of pain involved.

Dude u prove the point right here. Who else but spoiled fans would complain at all about a Super Bowl win?

I still hate him Bach. You can't stop me from hating him man. That would be unconstitutional and cruel and I would get all emotional if I couldn't hate him.

You don't want that. It would be a mess.

We should have blown them out but showed up like the Superbowl was won already. It wasn't fun. We had already started to lose pieces and then after that we lose Maryland and Lary Brown. We could have won another one with the right coaching, but we didn't have a coach. He was just an onlooker who didn't do a thing as the ship started to sink.

We signed the wrong player(s) and let the wrong ones walk. Total mismanagement.

I too believe it was ALOT more than the injuries. I don't think any players quit though. Just way too many that were concerned only with themselves and what they did or didn't have the opportunity to do. I think we all know where that started. Hopefully letting him go will be a major wake up call for the rest of the team. We'll see but I won't hold my breath.

As for being a spoiled fan base, Hostile you are 100% correct. There are still way too many "fans" out there that believe Danny White sucked because he didn't get to a Super Bowl. They are the same ones that say Tony Romo is a bum now. Morons. Absolute morons. It's a product of being the most popular team in the NFL and maybe all of pro sports. When that many people follow one team, there are bound to be idiots piled in there with the rest of us.
