If McNabb and Westbrook stay healthy they are one of the three or four best teams in the NFC probably. I rate them higher then the giants in our division anyway right now. So who besides the Cowboys in the NFC do you think is better then the Eagles? The bears? (rolls eyes...) Green bay ? (rolls eyes twice for extra effect...)

Would you be ranting last year if he had picked the Giants? after one game and screaming how stupid he was?

I would of laughed my butt off even when the playoffs started last year if you told me the Giants would win the superbowl....

Anything can happen and McNabb and Westbrook healthy are a handfull.

If Romo or TO goes down we are done. So if that happens who wins the NFC? My money would be on the Eagles IF Mcflabb and westbrook can stay healthy

Cheers

Tex

That wasn't the point-Skip Bayless' opinions are biased b/c of his cold-blooded hatred for the Boys. IF the Boys AREN'T in the NFCE, I highly doubt he would even utter the world "Eagles".

BTW-the Bears beat a powerhouse AFC team in THEIR stadium, and Aaron Rodgers looks promising. What makes you think they won't be contenders?

And yes-the Iggs are dangerous, without a doubt.

At 25, Bayless was hired by The Dallas Morning News to write its lead sports column, and two years later, the rival Dallas Times Herald hired him away by making him one of the country's highest paid sports columnists—prompting The Wall Street Journal to do a story on the development. Bayless was voted Texas sportswriter of the year three times.

In 1989, Bayless wrote God's Coach, about the rise and fall of Tom Landry's Dallas Cowboys. Following the Cowboys' Super Bowl victory in 1993, Bayless wrote The Boys, which broke the story that coach Jimmy Johnson and owner Jerry Jones were not "best friends" and correctly predicted that Jones would fire Johnson no matter how much success the team had. (Jones fired Johnson after the Cowboys won another Super Bowl the following year.)

Following a third Cowboys Super Bowl win in four seasons, Bayless wrote the third and final book of his Cowboys trilogy, Hell-Bent: The Crazy Truth About the "Win or Else" Dallas Cowboys. He created a controversy when he groundlessly speculated that Aikman might be gay. Aikman spoke at length to Bayless for the book, insisting he was not gay and refuting a claim (from Switzer) that the quarterback used a racial slur in criticizing receiver Kevin Williams during a game and that the quarterback was trying to get Switzer fired and Norv Turner hired as Cowboys coach. The book is about the season-long clash between Aikman and Switzer. Bayless reported that Aikman refused to speak to Switzer from December 4 of that 1995 season through the Super Bowl, which the Cowboys won.

In all fairness-Bayless IS a gifted sports commentator. When he throws out all of his hatred(and biases), he's actually very intelligent and knowledgeable about sports on all levels. When he's level-headed, I actually DO enjoy listening to him on 1st and 10.

But that's WHEN he's level-headed. From what I gather, his early success really made his head explode.

Once again, it must be stated that Jerry Jones did not fire Jimmy Johnson.

Why is it that some people still get that wrong?

I guess I should have known when I saw wikipedia was used as a source.

the guy is d0uche, acts like a d0uche, comes off as a d0uche, smells like a d0uche, looks like a d0uche, walks like a , talks like a d0uche, eats like a d0uche, predicts like a d0uche, wears clothes made a d0uche etc etc. that's why he even has a job, not because he is talented but his whole d0uche aura aggravates everyone. im sure even phili fans are uncomfortable with this d0uche picking their team, cause they know its not gonna happen now. instead of the touch of death, you get the touch d0uche with this guy. everything around him and even the air he breathes becomes very douchey. you get what im saying.

so do you work in a ****** factory?

I was watching First Take this morning and he said something stupid. He actually picked the eagles of all teams to win the Super Bowl. :lmao2: What do the rest of you all think?

Skip Bayless is an idiot??

Gee, I never would have suspected that... I mean, he's written books, and he has this high-profile gig on ESPN... surely you can't achieve that measure of success if you're an idiot...

This has been an unscheduled test of the board's sarcasm meters... if you take any of the above seriously, it might be time to take yours to the shop, or at least invest in some new batteries...

Now that's just cold, you shouldn't spread unsubstantiated gossip like this...

OTOH, I have heard some VERY disturbing things about his fondness for gerbils...

True, but people wonder what made him flip the switch like that. It seems to be personal with him. Something happened years ago, but I don't know what.

Troy turned down his offer of a long weekend in Cancun, just the two of them..
