Why is no one talking about the play of Tony Pollard? Why does he get a pass? The Leupke fumble never happens if he actually lowers his shoulders and give 1/2 effort on the play before to get in the end zone. Not to mention Dowdle does a better job than him not only getting down hill, but also in pass protection. With the amount of money Tony P is making, he should be a top 10 back. He was horrible tonight. Waste.

That fumble turned a sure 7 points into 0. Yeah, who knows how the game plays out from there if we score, but points were at a premium in this game.
I’ll one-up you: if Pollard hits the corner instead of trying to truck a guy by cutting upfield, he scores and Luepke never touches the ball lol

I can remember when people were saying Leupke didn’t get enough playing time, of course no one will admit it now.

Umm….

Dallas lost by 2 points.

If Luepke didn’t fumble on the 1, Dallas would have scored 7 more points.
If Dak could've garnered a FG in the 2nd or 3rd quarter, we win.

Maaaaannn, that's just so lame, blaming the entire game on a fumble in the 1st qtr. You know, we stopped them on the 5. Sort of evens out.

They.....resign players with known major injury red flags(LVE) instead of signing (yes older) but much better players (Wagner) at less money,
Wagner wasn't coming here. That isn't new news.

So even after he said he wanted to? Even if he wasn't, resigning a LB with neck issues like LVE after he had sat out a year? He played ok down the stretch the year before he was resigned but there had to be better options out there. That move screams of Jerry and company sticking with their guys when they shouldn't which has been an issue for quite awhile. They did the same thing with Gallup in giving him a big payday after coming off a major injury and he hasn't been anywhere near what he was before.

Sure, there are a ton of reasons that contributed to the loss. But, without the fumble by a slow, below average rookie, and without the ineptness of a waste of a roster spot LT, we probably win this game!
Both Luepke and Edoga would not earn a practice squad spot on most teams. We must do better at those positions!! They should both be fired the day after Christmas.
That’s the NFL though. Two plays in a two point loss can cost you. Sucks we lost because of this.

Man, him repeatedly completely ignoring the end and turning to engage the tackle for no freakin reason, unbelievable, I would have been yelling at him if I was McCarthy…..costing drives getting Dak killed, like pay freakin attention!
I thought this too. People just assume fullbacks can lead block, pick up pass rushers and jam it in on short yardage, but that’s not *our* FB.

I saw several plays where he was late on blocks and that’s the one thing that we should reasonably expect him to be good at.

He was undrafted for a reason.

Luepke is not a ball handler. I bet he doesn't get 5 practice snaps during the week. MM got too cute.

Edoga is a backup. If Dak wasn't making a quarter of the team's salary cap, maybe we could have afforded to shore up the backup positions on the OL.

Be thankful it wasn't Chaz Green out there.
Dak only cost $26 million to this year's cap. He will get extended with a 5+ year extension to help lower the cap hit the next 3 - 4 years. While I agree he shouldn't be paid top pay, his current cap hit is not why this team can't afford a better backup. It's because they have whiffed badly at drafting Tyron Smith's replacement by now.
