He's got a stronger arm, but if you're frustrated with some of the erratic throws that Dak has made this season, I wonder how much of Wentz you've seen. He rifles every pass, even 5-yard routes and its led to a lot of misses/drops. He also throws high a lot, especially over the middle of the field. He's impressive in stature, strength, seems more comfortable in the pocket and is actually more dangerous on broken plays than Dak, but his accuracy as a passer isn't his strong suit. Dak has shown better touch on his passes (especially last season).

Yep. He also seems to struggle on deep balls, woefully missing guys at times.

He's a competent QB at this point. That's about it. If you want to compare the two, they are both probably playing the same Dak versus Wentz but the difference in the team is the Eagles have a better defense (largely due to their front) and their OL is actually playing better than ours.

Haha, I've never heard this kind of criticism before. "QB is throwing too hard!"

Just because we have a QB that goes noodle arm on 10 yard throws doesn't mean we need to start criticizing every above average QB arm in the league. "Rifles the ball" - Yeah, so did Favre, and you didn't hear WRs or fans criticizing it - those WRs caught the dang ball, even if it broke their ribs and fingers.

Wentz is actually looking like an NFL QB. Heck, he's even scrambling better!

Their special teams has been great the past couple of years, too. Last year, they had to have led the league in starting field position. This year they're getting takeaways on punts/kickoffs, too. Like you said, it's not just Offensive pieces that help out a young QB. Russell Wilson in 2012-2013 is proof of that (although they did have Lynch and Tate).

As someone who lives up here, yes, the fact he sometimes rifles a short pass unnecessarily is a criticism.

Wentz looks no better than Prescott at this point. Both really have to improve facets of their game.

Well Dak is incredibly smart and a second year pro....the game will come to him and be easier. As of right now he's playing pretty good with room for improvement.

I haven't seen the smart you are talking about. Actually, I still think a large part of his lack of IQ is what's leading to some poor pre-snap reads that is impacting the O-line.

It's called "touch". Wentz doesn't have it. Favre rifled the ball, but he could put it at the numbers, not 2 feet above the receivers head like Wentz. If you're going to fastball every throw it better be at the WR or that WR must have the name Cris Carter.

And I "live up there" as well.

And Wentz is looking better than Dak. This is simple fact, he's making big boy NFL throws. Dak needs WRs to have a few steps on a defender before he makes his throw. He simply doesn't have the arm.

Watch the game yesterday, he certainly has it. Again, you are too busy watching a player that has no precision passing and goes noodle arm.

Wentz is simply developing better. And that sucks for us.

Right keep fooling yourself. Those bootlegs are working less and less. You’ll be disappointed I won’t. I’m already studying the 2018 QB draft prospects
And?

You act like he wasn't one of the best qbs in the league last year from the pocket. Maybe you didn't watch him last year or something?

Did you just become a fan this year? That could help to explain why you would think this.

If he's looking better it's negligible.

Statistically, there is pretty much very little difference between the two. Even advanced analysis like Football Outsiders have them pretty much lumped together at this point.

But you are also a notorious Dak basher so I am not surprised your "eyes" are telling you something that isn't necessarily there.

And before you call me some Dak lover, I've been accused by many here of being a closet Eagles homer and a Wentz fanboi.

Really? He really tore up those Chargers yesterday let me tell you.

I really can't believe what I am hearing about Dak....I am going to enjoy calling all of you guys out for this horrendous display of being a fan.

Heard a state postgame that Dez has 44 targets and 14 catches. Now not all those are catchable balls but they gotta stop forcing it to Dez.
Defenses are funneling the ball to Dez by doubling up Beasley. They know that Dez won't beat them deep or get separation. Dak will throw the ball out of bounds before he risks an INT and teams have figured this out. We must adjust and adjust fast.

He led his team to a victory. 3-1. Only team he lost to is a damn good Kansas City team.

You see, he's losing to teams he SHOULD lose to. We lost to a team we should beat.

To be a 4th round pick and immediately coming in and dominating like he did tells me he has a high football iq.....never heard anything about him not having a iq or being intellectually inferior.

My question is stupid? But you're the one thinking that Tyron, Fredericks and Martin need Leary and the retired Doug Free in order to be successful. Yikes.
Actually I'm not the one thinking none of that. You just keep assuming. I just gave a reason as to why they may be struggling compared to last year. Stay mad about your stupid question. Yikes that not good question asker

You've never heard of touch being important for a QB?
