I was just reading an article on the Athletic from Strum, he was stating that the Cowboys offensive talent at the skilled positions pales in comparison to the two SB teams. He believes we over invested with the OL and really need to upgrade our offensive skilled positions across the board. RB, TE, WR all have to be upgraded, OL needs more of a tweaking then the need of another 1st rd selection. I couldn't agree more, but we also cannot forget about the defense, either.

Biggest need on the roster if we want to take the next step as a playoff contender.

Add a high end WR2 and more weapons.

Either Gibbs or Mayer in the 1st followed by Tyler Scott in the 2nd.Something like this.
1st Mayer
2nd Scott
3rd Bigsby running back Auburn

Extremely difficult to do for a team that relies almost completely on the draft.

It’s possible I’m obsessed with the LG? And skill position Would improve the team more I rather take a weapon than a wide receiver. A scout said that referring to a running back that was a good receiver

Yeah this isn’t JG’s Cowboys anymore so I see no reason to keep throwing 1st round picks at the Oline. We should be able to find a LG somewhere in this draft.

The more I read Strum, the less I like him. I don't know. But I do agree we need this offense to be more explosive. That's what I'm looking for in RB, first, explosiveness. Same for WR, whoever we draft.

That's why I like guys like Abinikanda, Tucker, Flowers, and Downs.

We need to take the best players available and sign some free agents. There is no reason why we can’t sign Bobby Wagner, OBJ and upgrade the defensive tackle position in free agency. Then draft offensive guard/tackle, tight end, cornerback and running backs.

We need to find some mid round skill players that aren’t high picks because they lack ideal prototype size, but still make plays.

We are going to have to kill a particular draft in order for this Jones plan to work the right way. Like a franchise changing 2005 draft.

Its ridiculous and frustrating beyond belief that they refuse to see that the draft isn’t there to find 3-4 immediate starters.

You lose good players as fast as you can bring them in at the typical bust rate.

And they don’t even draft as well as some want to claim. They have been good in the first more often than not, but they have also blown a ton of 2nds and 3rds for a team that uses only this to get key players.

Sorry, got on a roll lol.

We are going to have to make some tough decisions and have some huge contracts on the horizon in Diggs, Lamb and Parsons. Releasing Tyron might be the hardest one to make, but it gives the team the most money, Zeke is 2nd on that list. Next is Pollard, will he be the same player after that injury, when is he expected to return? If he isn't going to be available to start the season, paying him 10 million on a tag makes little sense.

It's going to be a very interesting offseason. I would clear as much cap room as possible and add quality fa's, but we know how Stephen runs this team. OBJ, Wagner, A'Shaun Robinson, Peterson and Pocic would be my targets.

I am not sure if they extend Dak. I think they want too but with the big money that Daniel Jones might get there is no way Dak takes less then 48 million a season. He might be thinking if he plays well this season he will get 55 million. Dak has the Cowboys over a barrel.

Yes, he is the key for them to create cap space and he knows it. This is what happens when you fail to come to a deal when the price was right.

Yeah and if Dak does not extend the Cowboys will draft a quarterback early. 2nd round pick would be my guess.

Personally I hate having to add years to keeping Prescott but it is what to is.

This is why trading Diggs this off season makes all the sense in the world

Get a first for him and pick CB with it in this deep CB draft

You then have the 22+ million you were going to have to pay him to play with

Sign Hargraves and Hankins
Keep Tyron
More flexibility to sign OBJ and Wagner
More future cap to pay Parsons and CD

Jerry would never do it.
