If it wasn’t for Jerry gas would not be so high
Jerry has put together a good group of players.Did the players stink? Yes! Do I believe we would have had a different outcome if we needed to win to get in? Yes!
That being said, when Jerry said he wanted a home playoff game...the decision to play our starters had already been made. After Jerry said that on his radio show...the Giants announced they were playing their THIRD STRING QB!!! And resting other starters. We should have taken that intel and pivoted. But, what Jerry wants, Jerry gets. I know that is not breaking news, but it is maddening!!!!!!!!!
I was at the game. Sat behind the Cowboys bench. We had no business putting key contributors on that field yesterday. They did not want to be out there. And that is a surefire way to getting injured. FedEx field is a playing surface that is not well maintained. Neither team really had anything to play for. I think that performance did way more harm than good. They could have least ended it with some momentum with that TD drive that ended the 1st half, but I was so disgusted when they trotted our starters back out after halftime, I left the game.
If they do not win next week....this core will be broken up. The QB will be safe because of his contract, but Mike McCarthy, Kellen Moore, Dan Quinn, DeMarcus Lawrence, Tyron Smith or Ezekiel Elliot....one of them...if not more....will not survive a loss next week. Nor should they. But unfortuanaley....the real shake up should take place with the Owner/GM...but since that will not happen...others will be sacrificed. Again, I am not against a shake up if we lose next week, but we lost yesterday's game before it even started. And the main offender was the owner/GM!!!!!!!
Who told you tha, urchin?Jerry does not play the games
A sea slug named TresjkiopWho told you tha, urchin?
Oh, tha.A sea slug named Tresjkiop
Interesting theory but I don't see them playing starters late in the game once Philly was up by 3 scores over NYG.Did the players stink? Yes! Do I believe we would have had a different outcome if we needed to win to get in? Yes!

Why wouldn't you? It worked for the Rams and they have a recent Lombardi as proof. I'll take the occasional all in for a SB once a decade than three decades with no end in sight of Jerry's way.I don’t want them to pull a Rams.
Lacewell joined Dallas in 1992. He became director of College and Pro scouting in 1994 AFTER Jimmy left. His drafts stunk. He was fired by Parcells and replaced with Jeff Ireland. And Jerry is paying Will McClay to do the job of GM...with the understanding that Jerry retain the title to APPEAR to look like he knows what he is doing. No on in NFL circles takes Jerry serious as a GM.Lucky? he hired McClay, Will did not hire himself. Jerry thought so highly of McClay he is paid like a GM which is why he is still in Dallas. As for Lacewell you do know it was Jimmy Johnson brought Lacewell in?
As I have said it before and will say it AGAIN.....How many teams have to endure the overbearing, over stepping GM/Owner like we do? One where the GM and the Owner are the SAME person!!!!!!!!!!! How many teams have had the same GM for almost 30 years? There is a REASON why our GM and Owner generate this much chatter. No GM...in the history of ANY sport...would get almost 30 years to win the title.
And I could understand if our current GM was the architect of a championship at some point. But Jerry was not the architect of those 90s Super Bowl teams. So the truth is....Jerry...the GM....has only won 3 playoff game in his 30+ years as the GM. That is LESS than 1 playoff win every 10 years. And you ask WHY he generates this much discussion?
So, what exactly is on Jerry - the loss? Are you saying they would've won if the starters didn't play?Did the players stink? Yes! Do I believe we would have had a different outcome if we needed to win to get in? Yes!

And yet Washington won with their 3rd stringer. Why not expect the possibility with the Giants? They played a 3rd stringer because the OUTCOME was not important to them....same with the Giants, they played a 3rd stringer because the outcome was not important to them. Which is why I said the Giants had no interest in winning that game. So knowing that, there was no upside in playing our starters 4 quarters in a meaningless game. Cooper Rush has shown he can win games in this league....we would have played a much more competitve game if Cooper Rush had played yesterday.
And NO...Cooper Rush is NOT better than Dak, Dak is our best chance at QB to make a run in the playoffs...and he (along with others) should not have been put at risk yesterday.
I think it’s a lot like the Lions position. The dead skins played a 3rd stringer so what’s your point?
because the Giants were on the road against a team that controlled their own destiny with a winAnd yet Washington won with their 3rd stringer. Why not expect the possibility with the Giants?
not sure what it looked like on TV....but I was there in person. 25 rows behind the Cowboys bench. They had no interest in that game. I left at halftime.I think it’s a lot like the Lions position.
This is the last game you’ll play this season, and you know it. For some, maybe the last game as a Commander or as a player, period. Add to that you feed off your own pain of missing the playoffs and use it to knock off your hated rival. I knew the Commanders were going to play hard.
From what I saw of all the zone defense and rotations at CB, along with the vanilla offense and simple sets and routes, it was clear to me our coordinators were not all in and didn’t want to put much on film. It was a disservice to the starters who had to be out there.
Our starters still got spanked, but …..
I don’t care what jerry say he’s not on the field playing the game he’s not playing quarterback and making bad decisions with the ball Dak holds the ball way to long and then target noan clown 6-6 time that game throws another pick 6 so blame jerry all you want he’s not playing the game or throwing the ballDid the players stink? Yes! Do I believe we would have had a different outcome if we needed to win to get in? Yes!
