Jimmy wasn't looking at other backs, he wanted to trade up to draft James Francis (a LB).

thats true he did...he also liked Lamar Lathon alot...

but he did say that when it came to drafting Emmitt it was a no brainer and cited the fact that when he looked at the tapes, all he saw was a RB who made tons of plays and broke alot of long runs

I dont care what Emmitt's timed speed was, the guy broke long run after long run at Florida, and then did the same thing in Dallas...he broke tackles and had he great explosion into and out of the holes, something Walker lacks

If you had read my posts in this thread completely you'd know that I never even remotely suggested that Walker is or will ever be anywhere near the RB Emmitt was. All you did was tell me what I - and every other Cowboys fan on the planet - already know.

I saw him catch the ball at the skills challenge for the senior bowl, and he didn't look smooth at all,caught the ball alot with his body,not his hands. He is not a stud, no thanks
