I think that now Deadslow is FINALLY riding the pine, the season is just starting. If you honestly think the season is over, stop watching and stop talking about it, I'll see you next TC.

Maybe next year we will have Jimmy back and we can get back to breaking records....like the one he owns for the largest margin of defeat in the history of the NFL playoffs.

At least 2 wins are given (Washington and Arizona). It basically boils down to whether you think we win this Sunday -- I obviously think we will.

Arizona and Detroit are guaranteed wins

I'm sure we will beat Washington but I wouldn't guarantee that by any means.

Look at the rest

Indy
Tampa Bay
New Orleans
Atlanta
Ny Giants
Philly
Carolina

I doubt we will be favored in any of the games above.

This season is done. Neither Romo or Bledsoe is the answer. And the reality is that Parcells could be gone if we don't make the playoffs this year. And if we do make the playoffs, we aren't going very far.

Our offensive line is so horrible that neither Qb is going to progress much. Let's face it, we have lost to every respectable team we have faced this year aside from the Commanders and then again the Redskis aren't that great.

I'm not saying this to put peoples' spirits down but we have to face reality. Our offensive line needs a lot of work both in regards to coaching and talent. That's not going to be fixed this season. And our QB situation is a mess. Romo may be more mobile than Bledsoe but he is also far more inexperienced and he isn't exactly the calm presence in the pocket that we are seeking. If he turns into anything, it's going to be next season and not this one. Also, I agree that he should be given a chance to start over Bledsoe so my issue doesn't lay there.

But I'm already thinking of Parcells replacement next season. I'm grateful to Parcells in many ways and our defense is amazing due to him. I don't think he will be fired but I think he will quit on his own due to his age and the rest he probably desires. Jimmy Johnson would be my ideal coach and I could see that happening. However, I think a successful and well proven assistant coach could come here and build on Parcell's success. What do you think?

YOU JUST NEED TO HAVE A LITLE FAITH!
You may be right, the season may be over. But right now its not.
Let's see what happens in Carolina and Washington.
If we lose the next two games, I agree with you the season is over.
Then you get the McQuistans, Proctors and Hurds on the field and build for next year.
But we're not there yet! We have another national televised game and a new starting QB. We're facing a good team in a hostile environment, and a win would be priceless. GET PUMPED!

To be honest, I'm excited about our future. Parcells has given a solid defense and on offense, we have several great skilled players. I think if we can get a coaching staff that has proven success coaching and establishing offensive lines in addition to mentoring QB's, we could be solid.

Philly and New Orleans are both at Dallas. I think we'll be favored by 3 points on each.

It's funny because everything really hinges on Carolina. I think he will be very prepared for that one and it will be a tight game. If we pull it out this team's collective confidence will skyrocket. Then you open up the possibility of Romo winning all 3 on the road because games 2 & 3 are against scrubs. The team would just have to guard against leaving a win over Carolina too high.

I am not sold on Carolina as a great team either. Dont get me wrong, but playing 3 road games right out of the gate is a lot to ask of anyone.

He has seen what 40 minutes of actual game speed ? Its going to be a whole new game.

Arizona is not as bad as they seem except for that dreadful OL, Commanders are finally getting healthy, Carolina has a very good front four and although they arent good rushing the football, they can make plays in the passing game.

In a week and a half ask Denny Green if Romo is who he thought he was. :laugh2:

The season isn't over.

The O-line IS a mess.

Our QB situation is not a mess. We do need a new backup next year.

Jimmy Johnson will NOT be the next HC of the Cowboys.

Hopefully the next HC (asst. HC now or otherwise) will be agressing on both sides of the ball.

3-3 and the season is "done?"

We have obvious problems but to suggest the season is "done" is laughable.

Much like your grandiose post a while back that you would NEVER EVER post here again.....

Can you say "alarmist?"

Whether we're a good team or not, at this point I really don't know. Romo or Bledsoe? We'll see. There's alot we all unexpectedly and disappointingly don't know at this point of this season.
But I'll tell you what we DO know.............If we couldn't get up for this game, for the Division lead against a Division foe, at home, on the MNF stage for all the world to see.....................that's the most telling thing to me.
All the dissecting and analyzing and chess moves being discussed is one thing. That debacle Monday night was about desire, heart, etc............inner stuff. That's my concern more than a QB change.

Wonder how long you were whining about TO after he was signed? I'd posit you're still whining by virtue of your handle. There's room enough on this board for healthy debate and disagreements. Just cause he doesn't agree with you doesn't mean he should stop posting. I guess it'd be great if every poster here mindlessly accepted everything you posted as true and always agreed with you.

Your posts are such a beating.

This coming from the same guy that stated the Jets valued quincy Carter as much to start for them after his trip to his "Grandma's". :banghead:

Im not going to change my handle, so you better get used to it.

If he thinks the season is a lost cause, I dont see whats the point in debating it any more with him, or even the point in him talking about something that is done and dusted.

I can accept different opinions, I cant accept someone complaining the season is over with 10 friggin games to play.

Wow. We lost three games and the season is over. If we win the Sunday, is it still over? I don't know. I look at the NFC and I don't see too many teams ripping up the league. Ok, so far, our losses have been bad, but I truly believe we can turn it around. I'm not ready after 6 games to tank the season yet. Let's see where we are at around game 11 or 12.
