My great fear is the Cowboys will lost 14 games this year and have a top 5 pick, but Jerry will give it to the Saints for the right to talk to Sean Payton.

I really hope that doesn't happen. A good HC would want to dump a lot of the Cowboys overrated players which means a couple of years of mediocrity while they reload.

Yep, I want Payton but not at the cost of a 1st rounder cuz I want a QB taken in the first next year.
So yep, I want Payton, but I also want the first rd QB who is to be developed by Payton.

So I'm a NO for giving up a first for Payton.

Don't have a back up plan as of yet, lol.

Except for Dak getting hurt again. A more quieter off season than we normally have with free agency. Not really trying to replace the talent that we lost. I truly believe it was the plan all along for McCarthy to fail to give the front office a legitimate reason to fire him which opens the door for them to bring in Payton publicly because I believe there is already a secret agreement in place between he and Jerry. Look for Moore to be gone as well as the rest of the coaching staff with possibly Quinn being retained providing he don't get a HC gig somewhere so Payton can bring in his own staff.

Egads, rash lad!
I agree we fell short re FA. ("But look at Peters!" some will exclaim in high-pitched voices. But until he helps out here he is a nonfactor).

But in reality, in Bizarro world, Jerry would be a hit, old boy, a rowdy genius!

Stephen: LoinsFather, Zeke rushing is poor like hoped
Jerry: That is good because it is bad. Pollard gooder. He Bad. Give him one carry so we do bad which is good.
Stephen: The offencive line is bad like Joey Bishop bar mitzvah to measure his comedic ... growth. We sign Peters because he is big and old and bad things we can fix to be worser.
Jerry: Another bad thing. Good, big Mound of Lard! you make me proud of your non-mistress mother!
I tolerate you.
Stephen: You are not welcomed.

They should have a plan in place to replace the QB and the entire staff, and allow Payton to do whatever he wants to do. That should be the plan.

Jerry chose MM. Setting up MM to fail would also be setting himself up to fail because he chose MM. Jerry ain't purposely setting himself up to fail, no way, no how. Jerry would look better if he simply fired MM and hired SP.

"I made the best choice at the time but a better choice has since emerged and being the football man that I am, I am going take advantage of this new opportunity".

Well, Jerry sure as hell hasn't helped MM out. Ditched multiple OL, traded Cooper for a bag of peanuts, and failed to make any noticeable moves in free agency.

Yep as I mentioned previously I want my cake and eat it too.

I want Payton BUT I want to keep the first rd draft pick for a QB in next year's draft.

So I would give the Saints a 2nd rd pick and possibly others as compensation but not the 1st cuz I want the QB to be the 1st rd pick.

AND I want Payton to be his coach.

So I want both, lol.

I can't wait to see the reaction if Payton comes here though. A guy most here enthusiastically said goodbye to when he left and someone who returns not even slightly more successful than the head coach we have now.
Maybe a year off in the old barn for Payton will....never mind
