So many fans have loser mentalities here. Lots of miserable people.
We have watched this team break our hearts every year after getting us to believe. At least this year we have seen our weaknesses. It’s run and stopping the run. Move Tyler to LT and bring in Bass. Rum Dowdle earlier. Hopefully Hankins gets healthy. Parsons is gonna have to go after the run instead of qb if these teams are running mostly. I can’t help what the refs do. Lol.

Here’s my thing. We see new things happen or things that haven’t happened for a long while occur regularly in all sports. This indicates to me that this stuff is all dynamic. The past doesn’t determine the future. I’m excited for what this team could do, not constantly re-litigating the last 27 seasons.

I have been a Cowboys fan since 1973 .I am and have always been a diehard Cowboys fan. This Cowboys team has as much talent as any team in the league. But this team just finds ways to beat themselves .Here is the list.Fumble at the goalline.Pollard not cutting to the pylon.Ignoring CeeDee for 2 quarters.Penalties at the worst times.Wrong Oline personnel on the field ,Chuma is not good. How can you not even look at the Defensive End.
due to coaching and jerrys demands, they always find a way to lose , not win you can count on that.

Chuma is not good.
This team constantly beats themselves. In so many ways it's ridiculous. It all starts at the top with McCarthy.

For the record, Chuma has played well this year. He had a bad game.

The list is longer than that. How about losing Ridgeway to the Commanders when they were desperate for DT help. How about losing Cox and Harper the same way when they were thin at LB? How about trading Cooper for a 5th round pick and then not replacing Cooper with a competent WR?

At the same time, maybe fans just have to be more realistic. The 49ers had a 3 game losing streak and the sky was falling. Then they won 6 in row and then they were manhandled by the Ravens last night at home. Their fans had doubts. The Eagles lost 3 in a row and the fans wanted to bench Hurts, get rid of AJ Brown and the HC. The Eagles took defensive play calling responsibilities away from the DC! The Bills had a bad streak and fans were trashing Josh Allen.

When a team goes on a losing streak you do you know what they look like? They look like the Cowboys against the Bills and Miami.

Let's let the season play out and see what happens.
Fans usually expect their team to win every game and when their favorite team loses, it can’t be because the other team just made a few more plays than their team did. They can’t believe that it’s even possible that the other team is good too and has good coaches and good players.

I always laugh how many times when a play works fans say, “Great call”, and when a play is a disaster, it’s a “terrible call”. As if all plays‘ success hangs on the actual decision to run a particular play not how well the players execute the play.

Put it more succinctly- most fans can’t believe their team can play hard and still get beat. It has to be that our players and coaches just didn’t play well, or they all suck, or that the refs screwed us…..etc. etc

Idk. Sometimes it’s easier to strip the fandom out if it and try to appreciate the aesthetics of the game for what it is. From that viewpoint, Miami vs Dallas was compelling entertainment.

My gut feeling we will be in the SB to lose to the Ravens
Hope you don’t make important decisions based on your gut feeling. lol No way are the Cowboys going to win three straight road games to get to the Super Bowl. Not happening!

If people want to contradict building for flash & building for substance, just compare our organization to the Ravens.

They consistently build the trenches so they can play great D and run the ball. Knowing it will always give them a chance to compete. Then as it is available, they supplement with skill positions.

We think getting skill positions will do the trick. Only to have our foundational failures render them useless.
