ok, great. lets do that. lets invest. I have never opposed it. but there is no gaurantee. and its a lottery. with small chance of winning. and I still don't hear a short term plan. reserve a couple of picks every year to pick a QB is a plan but doesn't necessarily replace Dak for a better player until you find one.But you see just wanting to isnt doing. Thats the problem with your theory. You arent making any moves until you are sure something happens. The plan? Reserve a slot or two until you hit. Revolving door if need be. F.A. in the gaps.
With due diligence of course.
We been doing bare minimum. Maybe we are spoiled. Last two qbs fir what...almost 20 years? ....just had a guy step without a ton of work or risk.
That is wise because such people don't actually want to have a serious football conversation. They're trying out material for their standup routine. When someone says stuff like fat Mac and Deek and JAGs I don’t take them seriously as to having a football related conversation.
No, it doesn't. You're thinking of cavalry. They rode horses.Calvary here in the states means swords and canons and stuff.
If you're referring to the thread title, he used it correctly. You need to learn the difference between “rein” and “reign.”
How true.IOW, how do you minimize or hide a player who has his hands on the ball on every down? gee, no way to limit his touches other than to bench him. But what if you paid him a king's ransom and now you are anchored down with him around your neck? Tough cookies, the old saying, " you made your bed....now lay in it" comes to mind.
My take is tha with Dak you canna have a balanced attack. Hand the ball off frequently and watch others, not Deek, become INT Kings.65% vs 35% —- ha ha,
not possible in todays league , but close to 50: 50 with effective run game will be the goal of Big Mac and the coaches. If the running game is effective, with flashy Pollard and a bang bang Hammer RB who could average 4 yards per carry , punishing tacklers , then it will open the passing game with play action , or lot of short routes and yac approach with occasional bombs will work .
this kind of offense paired with a reliable defense which doesn’t go belly up every possession ( like Rod’s bend, bend and finally break , LOL ) will keep the scoreboard ticking and win most games.
Dunna. Do. It.I have one that has your name on it....I have a needle in my hand
Limit how many times Prescott throws the ball. No more than 25 attempts a game. Keep the complexity of the throw down to a minimum. Don't ask him to read defenses other than when he absolutely has to. Good scheme and running game to provide him with easy throws to wide open receivers which he excels at.Yes, me frustrated ruffians and pyramid schemers, we shant have any excuses this season.
We appear ready to go with experienced WRs, a Pollard in bloom and a line anchored by Martin.
Defence? Same. Stacked and hungry.
But what do we do with Deek?
How do the coaches minimize our JAG's INTs?
Will Fat Mac truly run the ball more to minimize Deek handling the ball?
Can our JAG resist the temptation to throw into tight windows?
Can Deek be weaned from his security blanket of TE sideline passes or at least learn that TEs can go vertical and into the flats?
Can Deek surrender his INT title to Cousins or Carr?
I say a 65%/35% run-pass ratio of running the ball is good.
Deek needs to be reigned in since we are stuck with him in 2023.
But how?
Holla and brings me a dollah!

I live in a haunted house. have a few guests that come and go. what's one moreDunna. Do. It.
Think of the children. Think about me haunting you forever...
you change the offense so he's not able to call audibles at the line of scrimmage and let the OC call the plays. then you call simpler route patterns so the WR and QB are on the same page at all times.Yes, me frustrated ruffians and pyramid schemers, we shant have any excuses this season.

Didn't see that. My bad.Wasn’t referring to the thread title, I was referring to his post. He used both words, but in the same reference. They have different meanings.
When you went to money you lost me. I can barely do my own finances. Well let's be honest ...I CAN'T do my own. So running an NFL team's....um Dallas Cowboys!...is way above my pay grade sir.ok, great. lets do that. lets invest. I have never opposed it. but there is no gaurantee. and its a lottery. with small chance of winning. and I still don't hear a short term plan. reserve a couple of picks every year to pick a QB is a plan but doesn't necessarily replace Dak for a better player until you find one.
what FA QBs worth their dollars hit the market? usually older. not good enough. down side of career type. which is not better than Dak. my question is are you trying to just save money or win? if you want to save money, then I am going to ask if you are working for Jerry jones?
66.6% career completion percentage and a career 97.8 QB rating.
this guy is simply AMAZING!!!!!
