We appear ready to go with experienced WRs, a Pollard in bloom and a line anchored by Martin.
Defence? Same. Stacked and hungry.

But what do we do with Deek?
How do the coaches minimize our JAG's INTs?
Will Fat Mac truly run the ball more to minimize Deek handling the ball?
Can our JAG resist the temptation to throw into tight windows?
Can Deek be weaned from his security blanket of TE sideline passes or at least learn that TEs can go vertical and into the flats?
Can Deek surrender his INT title to Cousins or Carr?

I say a 65%/35% run-pass ratio of running the ball is good.
Deek needs to be reigned in since we are stuck with him in 2023.

I think it starts in the draft. They need oline and another RB. But you can't sacrifice the defense which could use another strong LB and DT. But even if Dallas runs the ball more they will eventually have to rely on Dak making plays to beat the better teams.

It should be okay to say "he's a good QB that needs to play better" but that kind of thing will get ya blasted by some.

I would say building a strong defense is key. I think the defense last year was kind of smoke and mirrors and as the year wore on teams figured out they can run us and they did. we didn't have a true pass rusher outside of Parsons, playing DE and at his size he got worn down. that much was clear. our LB group outside of parsons is below average. and parsons can't play both LB and DE.

we need some good DT, LBs and draft another CB..... Philly showed you don't need a top notch RB to succeed in run game. a lot of teams do it by committee, including both superbowl teams. but I would then invest in OL to strengthen that group.

Im a classic rock guy My favorite band is styx but I can be heard listening to anything from Mettallica to snoop dogg. Ive prbably been to more great music concerts than you can imagine. I do like jazz as well just not kenny g and yes I enjoy some blues as well.

What I think is kinda silly...and Rocky this is just an opinion from a LONG time Cowboys fan...50 years....

Using the 2022 Tampa bucs team as some sort of proof Dak is a great QB....is disingenuous. People say "but super bowl champs, but GOAT Brady". "1st playoff win in years!" "how can you NOT admire THAT!".

Cause that team SUCKED...that's why. EPIC bad. Only 3 other teams (in a full season) in playoff history were as bad. EVER!. Brady's professional and personal drama, Ariens (the real mastermind) quit. A few injuries. SO bad they blew up the team even more after.

Then when we faced a real playoff team...one admittedly better than us....we blew it. Even though we played them pretty well, really. A couple screwups and an injury...and blam....bounced right quick.

I don;t expect people to agree with me. It's just my opinion and yes...I do have high standards for my cowboys. It's how you become the best.

I am also not giving up. Told you earlier I am hoping we have made the right changes and hope we have a good plan with MM asserting himself.
