This team is stacked, but how do we rein in Dak, use him in an efficient and safe way?

Yes, me frustrated ruffians and pyramid schemers, we shant have any excuses this season.
We appear ready to go with experienced WRs, a Pollard in bloom and a line anchored by Martin.
Defence? Same. Stacked and hungry.

But what do we do with Deek?
How do the coaches minimize our JAG's INTs?
Will Fat Mac truly run the ball more to minimize Deek handling the ball?
Can our JAG resist the temptation to throw into tight windows?
Can Deek be weaned from his security blanket of TE sideline passes or at least learn that TEs can go vertical and into the flats?
Can Deek surrender his INT title to Cousins or Carr?

I say a 65%/35% run-pass ratio of running the ball is good.
Deek needs to be reigned in since we are stuck with him in 2023.

But how?
Holla and brings me a dollah!
Without a doubt, Dak has flaws, and INTs were a problem last year, but based on one season, and one season only, fans are treating the INT's as a habitual problem.

In reality, in 2021 he threw 200 more passes, but had 10 fewer INT's. His INT % has typically been about half what it was last year.

Obviously, I can't know how things will be going forward, and of course they need to examine the reasons for the problems last year, but last was an anomaly in Dak's career, not the norm.

Speaking of Deek posters, I canna find your Deek posing in motorcycle garb or construction worker. But there is this poster of Deek throwing the ball shirtless. Laminated and 8'x3'.
...
...
Say, Rocky, to where do you disappear every time Deek ends games against the 49ers with a dumb play?
I have heard Branson and Cancún.
Holla
Right here.

Stacked? The have a bottom 10 Offensive Line by any possible measure. Their QB is barely top 10 on his best day. Please pass whatever you are smoking.
Barely top 10 on his best day? Don't think that's quite fair. Dak is probably a top 10 QB period. He can be elite on his best days. He can look like a backup on his worst. Has more than enough talent and leadership ability to be a Super Bowl QB. Don't get me wrong—he's clearly not Mahomes—but with the right pieces around him and potentially an elite defense I think he can get us there.

As for OP's question, I think the biggest thing he needs is a legit playmaker or two in this draft. I personally love Mayer (and Kinkaid but Mayer is my favorite). I think a TE makes a lot of sense at 26 with this class. But someone like Bijan, Gibbs, or one of the top WRs would also qualify. I think a TE at 26 and a RB or WR in the 3rd-5th round would be a good play.

Being an INT leader in the NFL is nothing of which we should overlook. Being the INT leader indicates something is wrong --- probably in mechanics and decision-making.
To say it is an aberration is not enough, at least not for me.

You thought wrong as you usually do. Now back to predicting less than 8 wins for the team.
Fewer, me lad, it's fewer, not less.
Use less for bulk and fewer for individual pieces.
Is English your first language?

Too, remedial lad, take the time to fill out your sentences so as they are not disjointed and in fragments. Also do not forget, commas are our friends.

I didn't say the Cowboys should overlook it. In fact, I said of course the cause should be examined and whatever steps taken to prevent it happening again.

What I said was you can't fairly claim it's all because he handled the ball and threw the ball too much last year and that reigning in the frequency of those things is the only solution. Again, he has thrown the ball in past years with much more frequency than he did last year without the INT problem.

Or the options the scheme gave him, and the decisions he made.

Int's happen....i dont mind a INT attacking down feild, or a great play by a defender.

But a 5 yard out, a 5 yard hook by rb.. that is stared down from the snap is unacceptable.
Especially in a big game sit. With Pollard gone.

LOved the call later on seam route....49r MLB made a hellava play, although the route on left seam/hash was wide open

Im a huge fan....and to the best of my knowledge....there were no "recorded" tracks used. Possibly some vocal spots. Almost everything was done with samplers that had to be triggered by one of them.
They are known for funny stage props.
Could be. They were huge reel to reel tapes close to 10' tall and about 3' wide. These weren't hidden. They had them sitting on both sides of the stage right up front.

yes, as a matter of fact I did. we always have to have people in the pipeline. and we did invest, and even when Dak has been here. its just been small investements in the 6th and 7th round.
My point being that we did invest a 4th rounder in Dak with Romo starting, so there needs to be an investment at some point in this draft, if the value is there, would love to grab one at the righ place in this draft if that player is there.

Might go the entire draft without even a dart thrown at QB and why we have Rush signed is quality insurance at QB2.

So while drafting a QB in this draft other than unavoidable great fortune and optimum value at the pick, we could easily see this draft go without a QB selection being made.

I totally agree. And their plan this off season seems to be one of plug holes. So you don't have to reach but there are needs everywhere for upgrade. LG, CB, MLB, OLB, DE, DT, T, TE
QB

Hopefully Tolzien, Schottenheimer, Solari and especially McCarthy has the answer to this OP. If any one of them is poor in their game preparation for this limited QB the end result won't be good this year.
So I guess I will see the true impact of a now fully led McCarthy offense and his hand picked staff. No more Kellen Moore scapegoating.

*I don't see drastic change in production or end results unfortunately unless Micah is able to rally the dee like Ray Lewis to an all
time 2000 Ravens style dominance.
It's basically the only hope at a trophy at this point. Most likely bye bye McCarthy.

"Hey Dan, you're up next."
And GroundHog Day continues on...

Winning a super bowl this year will be much more about #4 than the defense.
