This team needs a Sproles/Bush type player

I really believe the way this team is setup and plays that they need a player like Sproles or Bush a player that can create match up problems out of the backfield and that can take it to the house anytime they touch the ball. I really believe that's what Romo has been missing. I look at Romo and Brees and Stafford as very similar players and you can see the difference these 2 players make for them.

Thoughts?

Dunbar is fast enough though and they need to start using him.

I don't believe the offensie scheme is creative enough to use them the way Sean Payton uses them.

It wouldn't work out. This offense isn't built for players like that (See Dunbar). Players like that need to be put in open space and also catch the ball in stride. In this offense, when said player wasn't on the bench, he would only be used on check downs and maybe a screen here or there.

We would waste them here. This team can't even properly use Dez and Miles. They should both have thousand yard seasons. We can't even get that right.

Sproles, Bush, Dunbar, whoever would be great. We already have one of those type of players on the roster and rarely sees the field. I have zero confidence that said player would be used in the same fashion or utilized properly. Heck, I'll go as far to say if we had Sproles, he would still be second in the depth charts and probably be returning punts as his main job.

One guy like that with character concerns that wasn't signed by anyone is Chris Rainey.

He has since been ignored by all other NFL teams.

On Monday, he wasn’t. Per multiple league sources, the Chiefs worked out Rainey on Monday. Though he ran the 40-yard dash in the low 4.3s, the Chiefs have decided that they currently don’t have a spot for him.

One source said that Rainey was timed on one stopwatch at 4.29 seconds.

I think he was talking about a fast player with talent.

We have four running backs on the roster, but only one gets meaningful touches.
