There are two distinct aspects to this. Upper management and locker room management/players.

It starts with upper management but if new management did take over the first thing they would have to do is start over with the leadership in the locker room. Starting at the top.

Stephen is worse, by far. Jerry would at least take shots before. Stephen is too fiscally conservative to take a shot on a player and doubles down on being mediocre. Just enough to sell tickets, but never good enough to actually win anything.

That is my worry as well. My only hope is that Stephen likes money enough to sell the team. But the team provides him a spotlight which the Joneses require to stay alive. They’re like reverse vampires.

Ive said this couple of times, we do have some glimmer of hope with JR, he will not be the sole owner, his siblings will have equal rights...hopefully they can help force change. Right now Jerry is the only vote. With Daddy in charge they seem in lock step but once its an open floor we might see some other players come in.

We have had quality players many times before and couldnt get it done. Its absolutely coaching and culture as well the only difference now is the team is devoid of talent outside the WR position

He has been exposed, doesnt adjust, and his players look confused and lost. That is on coaching.

you dont understand how things work here lol. I am surprised because I know you have been around for long time. Shotty cant fire eberflus as the jones boys hired him. He might be able to fire one of the other assistants he hired but not until the end of the season, as jones boys are not going to pay them to do nothing, and at same time pay the new coach.
The jones boys are billionaire scrooges lol. they pinch pennies!
I dont know how long ebeflus contract is for , and I think it is guaranteed for the length of contract, so they may not dump him until his contract expires!

Jerry seemed pissed after the denver game so he might take a loss and fire Eberflus but I doubt it. He is too tight with his money.
Coaches pay doesnt come out of the cap, it comes out of Jones wallet, and that is why he is so cheap with coaches. And why he keeps them until contract is up.

We dont have a real GM, someone who wants to win now, just have 2 tight wads playing GM.
Shotty is up against that and it would be the same with any other coach they hired.
1 reason they didnt even talk to Bellichik was because they knew he would cost more than other coaches.
He was making 20 mil a year in NE, and jones boys would not pay that lol or even half that.

Shotty cant cut players either that is up to jones boys, all he can do is request a trade or a cut and see if they go along with it.
He cant even bench a player the jones boys think should be on the field. A HC here is up against it in alot of ways lol.

Nevermind workouts brother. Half of this team can’t handle adversity, let alone a hard workout. These guys are spoiled, entitled, and worse arrogant.

Brother, it is so sad to see. This is something that is ingrained for decades around this franchise. This sense of entitlement, being spoiled, seeking the limelight, yet not working for it. No wonder they get outphysicalled and mentally beat on the field by the better teams in this league. Things will not change until the workouts and culture change.
