I don't see that happening. I hope they are smart enough to wait till next year so they can see trey in games that won't hurt them for real. Rush is 6-1 all time vs a guy who couldn't make the team who gave up 3 1st round picks for him. That's pretty dam bad. Esp considering that offensive philosophy is designed to be productive with less overall QB talent.
For sure thats why i say best case scenario... small chance in my opinion.

Your last statement is why you’ll never be happy, even if they win a SB. You’re stuck in the past bro. Who cares about Jimmy Johnson anymore. That’s about a pissing contest between two grown men. One feels betrayed, the other feels disrespected. Who cares.
Truly you don't know me well enough to make that claim.

I think you may need to put that hope to rest, he poses NO threat to Dakota Prescott, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell, he poses no threat to RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's was a 3rd stringer who couldn't beat out 2 QBs who would have major problems beating out RUSH for a starting job.

So when the 3 pick game happens and fans are throwing trash and chanting for TL, that’s not the potential for pressures? Because it will happen!

Agreed which is why Trey Lance has a chance to take over for him and start for us at some point.
Lance has sucked so far. Hes been healthy and has had a whole offseason, OTA’s, mini-camps and preseason games to win the starting job, much less the backup job, and he failed. Hopefully, he can take advantage of this opportunity and become at least a solid backup.

You know when you can't say R E D S K I N S in the forum and it changes it to Commanders you don't have free speech. But I also believe in private property rights and creating your own rules. So I also support this forums right to run it how they see fit.
I do too. Excellent point on respecting the rights of private enterprise.

He does not pose a threat unless Dak does not agree to a team friendly extension. Lance was a Jones family business decision in case Todd France play’s hardball. Dak actually now has threat on the sideline if he screws up. Lance is bigger, faster and stronger then Dak talent wise. There is a reason he was 3rd pick in the 2021 draft. Lance is like Jordan Love was for Rodgers and the Packers.
Dak is no Aaron Rodgers. A better comparison is Wentz and Hurts.

Or not.

Honestly, this is in all likelihood a nothing trade. Don't really see how anything comes of it.

Lol. Nice comedy for a Saturday. He couldn’t beat out Jimmy G, Mr Irrelavet or Darnild. Dak is top 10 Qb in the league. He was traded so the Cowboys can have their play book.
He beat out Jimmy G he just got hurt in two games and then jimmy took over.

We’ve been here along time together homie. Not a ton of us left. We have had some disagreements and some agreements over the years. But man. It’s taken a toll on you. You’re so negative all the time now. Didn’t use to be this bad.

Yeah good comparison. The reason why I use Rodgers is that he owned Green Bay similar to how Dak owns Dallas. Wince supposedly wanted out of Philadelphia. The Eagles didn’t want to get rid of him. He let the fan pressure get to him. My point is that if Lance gets 5 games like Rush did last season. If he plays well it might be a Romo/Dak situation. Money talks……..

Great job for once. Dak needs some real pressure. Lance was a high pick, comes from a winning program and didn’t play much due to injury. This gives me hope I haven’t had since 2006
If Lance is going up the depth chart......wouldn't pressure be on Cooper Rush initially?

You're going to get too many people excited with comments like this!! Lol
Jerry doesn’t want to spend 200 million on Dak for 2025-2030.

This is an amazing trade.

Not sure what all the politics were at 49ers, but we basically robbed them.

Eventually.

But the transition from Dak will be in 2024.

Definitely by 2025.

They will give TL time to adjust.

By week 8, I expect him to be ready to lead.

It’s going to happen.

Jerry demands a return on investment.

He spent millions on Dak.

For what? No pro bowls since 2018 and crap playoff losses.

Obviously a decision has been made.

The transition to TL is going to happen.

Then Dak and Cooper Rush will have been bitten by the pressure?

Let’s put it this way. If Lance practices well this season and is plays well in preseason next year. Would the Joneses rather sign a 24 year old Lance to let’s say a 3 year 90 million extension low guaranteed contract or sign Dak to one of the biggest contracts in NFL history at age 31. Even if Dak lights it up this season and they make it to an NFC championship game. The Cowboys would still have to pause.
This right here. If Dak defecates the bed in the playoffs again there is going to be some serious concern in the FO about extending him to a huge contract when you have Micah and Ceedee waiting to get paid. At that point you'd have to consider that Dak has hit his ceiling and his contract would be prohibitive to getting or keeping the players that have a chance of dragging him to a super bowl. They'd have to consider trading him and drafting a qb to have a camp battle with Lance at that point, either of them being cheap options that would allow us to add more talent to the team overall.
