The algorithm here is interesting.... it censored the word C o w g I r l s when I was speaking about our beloved cheerleaders

I also have never been benched for insulting someone....it usually for commenting on posts like yours

Oh well.....see yall in 3 days
You know when you can't say R E D S K I N S in the forum and it changes it to Commanders you don't have free speech. But I also believe in private property rights and creating your own rules. So I also support this forums right to run it how they see fit.

I wouldn’t let Dak’s huge cap number next year force me to do anything I’m not comfortable doing.

There are plenty of other contracts to rework and restructure if they need to.

I also read that his 2024 base salary has no guarantees as well.

Point being that I’m not rushing to restructure or extend him unless he has a great 2023. And I’m not going to have a big 2024 cap hit force me into anything.
This.

When people want to *spend* more cap, so many insist the cap is no constraint at all, because you can always shove money into the future.

But few remember this principle when it comes to *saving* on cap and not throwing good money after bad.

That's how I feel, but people on here feel because he ran a so called 4.9 that he's somehow slower than dak. I absolutely hate seeing dak on bootlegs etc
I hate to see Dak run. He looks like he is about to break his ankle again on a scramble. Dak has a weird gate.

Lol anyone who thinks this has any affect on Dak is crazy.

1. This only affects Grier immediately.
2. Trey still has to beat out rush for the #2 spot next year, by then Dak will already be extended.
Exactly. People that think this means that Dak is in for a do or die season are going to be disappointed. It means an extension is coming.

Fantasy GM’ing is a lot like the kid at the toy store. They want the new shiny toy. They don’t care how Mom and Dad are going to afford it.

Great job for once. Dak needs some real pressure. Lance was a high pick, comes from a winning program and didn’t play much due to injury. This gives me hope I haven’t had since 2006
If you think Lance puts pressure on Dak you haven’t watched enough football lol

I don’t think that’s a fait accompli. They don’t HAVE to have the money now and they can use this year’s performance to judge whether or not they continue with this relationship.

I don’t know how this move gives you hope like you had in 2006. What gave us hope in 2006 was Romo taking over and playing at a high level. We were stuck with a failed draft pick and castoffs before Romo arrived and just traded for one that’s been a bust. Rarely do trades like this work out for a QB that’s failed with their original team. It’s obvious no other teams thought that much of Trey Lance for San Francisco to only get a fourth round pick for him. The one positive with Lance is, it’s been mostly injuries that have derailed his career. Every time he’s gotten an opportunity he’s been injured. He’s only had four starts, so there’s still a chance he could develop, but I’m not expecting much.

I hope you're right because I see Dak regressing. Just don't see Trey as any long turn solution. What it looks like is Jerry being the gambler again and hoping he can strike oil for the 3rd time with an unproven or low drafted QB. If Trey was all that I just don't see the 49ers giving up on him so easily.
