We need our Haley and some health at LB.

Just getting Sean Lee back will be huge, and Hitchens being a year better will help as well. Resign McClain and Durant and draft a DeVonte Holloman type and I think our LB's will be fine.

The other thing I think people discount is that McClain was out of football and out of football shape when he came to the Cowboys training camp. Give him a full offseason of conditioning and film room work with the coaches and he isn't going to miss all the practice time with minor injuries that he did this year.

I agree its like 1991. Draft Defense and one offensive lineman. I don't have a problem letting Murray walk. Romo should have 2 more years in him.

rofl, I said this prior to the Lion's game. I figured the Cowboys were setup to lose that game, but somehow they came out with the win. I figured they were going to lose to the Lions just like they did in the 91' season.

Go all out on defense and we've got a shot.

I just hope we keep this identity. That's the key to succeeding. Stay aggressive, beat teams up on the ground. Just need the pass rush in the mix now.

I'm worried Jerry will make RB top priority and then draft another backup somewhere and gloss over the lack of talent at every position on the defense.

Problem is we can't count on Lee. I forget we even have him some times.

Also reminds me of the seahawks in 2012, losing in the div round before their young team exploded the next year.

Difference being, there will be a lot of turnover on going into next year. We have so many guys going into FA next year, no way we can hold onto all of them.

You guys are so predictable.

What does this mean in this thread? The whining threads are predictable. Most of your posts are predictable, but I don't see how this thread is predictable. Hell, most of my posts should be quite predictable too. A realist who doesn't drink the koolaid, but does like to stir the pot.

Hope so but these chances don't come around often. Injuries derail seasons all the time. We were the best team in the NFC in '07 and had 2 first round picks in the draft. Everyone had us going to the SB in '08. Romo gets hurt, Brad Johnson was incompetent and that was that.

Like the '07 loss, I don't think I'll ever get over this one. Murray's fumble, Hanna not recovering fumbled return, and Romo to Dez being, incorrectly, taken away. The better team didn't win. I feel sick. The team worked too hard for that call to destroy their season.
