Yeah, he wasn't nearly as awful as some try to portray.Actually Dak was the best of the terrible on Sunday. Our entire team sucked; Dak sucked a little less than everyone else. #truth
Especially compared to everyone else. 4th and 1 and our back up center and left guard miscommunicate on an assignment after Dak drove us into scoring range. A dropped TD pass by a player that is known for having great hands for his position. Multiple drops through out the game. A blocked kick because the kicker kicked it too low after being drove into scoring position. A defense that looked like the worse defense in the NFL after looking like the best defense the previous 5 games.Yeah, he wasn't nearly as awful as some try to portray.
Absolutely! Cowboys are on the verge of winning the NFC East Division and hosting a playoff game! And as a "True" Cowboy fan this makes you happy?
Having such a inept QB leading our offense.....
No comment ....you have my sympathies........
This is just Dak. This is what he is. Now deep into his 3rd year, it is likely what he will be, with some variation +/-.
Dak is not a QB who is going to throw for 400+ every week. That was a statistical anomaly. A total outlier when you look at the body of his work.
So no, this was not a bad game from Dak. It was just a regression to his mean coming off a big week last week.
here it is again, everyone else's fault but Dak, if only Dak had more great players around him, don't you people get it Dak is great, Dak is elite all hail Dak Mr. clutch.Especially compared to everyone else. 4th and 1 and our back up center and left guard miscommunicate on an assignment after Dak drove us into scoring range. And another premium WR, the best offensive line, premium coaches and a top rushing attack, when the sun rises in the west and sets in the east, only then will we be able to accurately evaluate Dak.Nah, we need a premium TE to evaluate him in all fairness.
We need a legitimate challenger on the roster at QB, that is the only way Jerry would see Dak shortcomings.

After Dak drove us? So any little positive was Dak's doing. All negatives belong to someone else?
Got it. Agree to disagree.
I am in agreement with you on that.
Though there are too many here (not saying you do) that insist that the only thing keeping this team from a SB win, or going 13-3 or 12-4, is Dak, and that's just as wrong..

Top 5 is elite and many posts on the board claim that he just that, also many posts of how he is better than many Elite QB's (from Brady to Aikman) I am sure you have seen many of them, my post was more in jest of the "Dak is great when he wins it's everyone else's fault when they lose", I am not a big Dak fan but realize you just do not snap your fingers a great QB appears and that due to Jerry's view Dak is the anointed one, I also have brain and a show me attitude just like I did with Meredith, Morton, White , unlike Dak all got deep in the playoffs yet they were not what the team needed to bring home a championship. On this board there are many at both extremes both extremes are wrong but reality is until Dak wins something he is just a place holder.Few, if any are saying Dak is elite, come on, some like him more than others, some like him not at all, but if someone has said Dak is elite I'd like to see the post....
Well, he's the biggest thing...only because improvement at his position would have the greatest impact. Other areas can be improved, but it would be much more difficult to get the necessary impact.

In the 2016 playoff game against the Packers, Dak had 302 yards, Zeke 125 yards rushing, Dez 132 yards passing. But the defense let Rodgers run up a 21-3 lead.
Dak was plenty good enough to win that game, but the defense let the team down. So the cry went out "We need a better defense!"/
So we draft 7 defensive players in 2017 and 3 more in 2018, get the defense to a current no. 5 defense, and now it's "We need a better quarterback!"
So what's the choices if you don't keep Dak as the starter? Only 2 - draft a stud (hopefully) qb early in the draft, or pick up a top free agent.
In the first case, we're already 8-6, won't have the top pick. Is the draft next year chock full of great prospects? Looking at Walter Football, none of the top 3 are another Aikman or such, all have accuracy issues (that people point to as a big problem with Dak) or other shortcomings. So it doesn't appear there's a good chance of getting that stud next year.
Veteran? Who's available? A Bledsoe or such, a qb who'd been to a SB and had other great stats? Don't think so. Rodgers, Brees, etc. aren't going to come to the Cowboys, even if they did, going to cost a chunk of money, and there goes your ability to get the top tight end, safety, guard, offensive tackle or 1-tech (as so many are screaming for).
I'm just saying that I don't really see any sure way for this team to move on from Dak and get a new qb in place before you have to pay the Zekes, etc. that you probably can't do after paying a big contract to a vet, or wait for a rookie to develop. Even a Mahomes is a second year guy, your hot shot rookie will likely take at least 1 year to develop, maybe 2.
I would love to improve the quarterback spot, but I'm afraid JJ has painted this team into a corner with Dak, and we're stuck with having to hope he's going to become much better...
