Tampa is now being called an awful team after lots of analysts and fans, including some on this forum picked the Cowboys to lose.

Glad they won of course.

This team doesn’t handle praise well at all however. Plenty of evidence of that out there

You're worried about media praise? Because I'm sure that lots of analysts are still going to pick the 49ers to win, based off of the same reasoning you used of Tampa being an 8-9 team coming in. The Niners are going to be receiving just as much praise if not more so in the media this week.

No doubt media and odds makers are taking SF. I get it they have won 11 games in a row, they have played very well and deserve the praise. Cowboys can win this game, I think it will be low scoring and come down to the end.

Brayd has gone to more SB and won more SB than any player in the history of the game. As for his rating I would image it will not be as good as the regular season because you are facing top teams, and it is hard to put up big numbers every game vs big time opponents but over the years no one has done it better than Brady. That is fact. Please name any other QB who has produced over the years? Having said that again last week many here were hollering how the Cowboys would get beat and how we could not beat Brady. No doubt we were the better team heading into the game but not what critics here and some in the media were saying
I mean, I just posted facts about Brady's playoff performances and you came back with team stuff (which I even specifically pointed outed the fallacy of not recognizing the team).
Brady has been on many great teams. And he has had a lot of opportunity for success with them. Sometimes he rose to the occasion and played great ball. But just as often (more so) he also sucked. Many of the times he did suck, the rest of the team was able to compensate, because they were great teams.

His SBs are from team (which he is a part of) success. Not from personal success. As they are for every player from every Superbowl.

Here we go again. Cowboy fans talking smack for beating an awful TB team. Cowboys players getting all the praise in the media….

If Dallas wants to go any further, and not get embarrassed again by SF, then they will need to hear the criticism again all this week leading into the game.

Diggs? Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic display for a professional football player to avoid contact in a PLAYOFF game

Maher? Unacceptable in a playoff game. If any of you thought it is water under the bridge then you’re fooling yourself. This will come back to bite Dallas. Probably this week.

Offensive line? Could have protected Dak much better against a team with ZERO pass rushers. SF has those dudes and we will see that come Sunday.

Defense? Won’t get a 52 year old man that throws the ball to no one in the dirt over and over again. They have to tighten up their coverage and get more of a pass rush to affect Purdy. SF is faster and more physical than any team Dallas has seen all season long

Don’t take the bait cowboys. This is rat poison and we are all gonna hear it ALL WEEK LONG
While I agree with some of your post, and I must say very little of your post I do agree with. The sentiment about the better team winning is true. I have to wonder if Dallas were to win three games in a row from here on out, would posts be stating it is only one Super Bowl in a row and we need to see them do it again next year to validate it wasn't a fluke.

Or if Dak won the MVP, the posts about this being a weakened league and if they had to play against stronger opponents of yesteryear, he never would have been considered the best in the big game.

Dallas is in rarified air at the moment. Maybe we all need to take a day or two and appreciate what they have accomplished so far.
And the truth is, even if they did go all the way and win a Lombardi, about an hour or less after the game the let down arrives and you realize you spent the entire season complaining about the team and not enjoying the ride. And it all starts over again from scratch.

There is no winning for some of you.

Stay humble…that win meant very little.
While I agree that they need to stay humble, to say the win meant very little is a massive understatement. They still beat arguably the greatest QB in modern NFL history on the road. Winning even a single playoff game in the NFL is something that most teams do not have the pleasure of doing in a season and it's definitely something to build on heading into SF.

I've watched every game for over half a century.
Then I would keep watching, because you haven’t figured it out yet. San Fran came in and were the more dominant team in the trenches. Punched us in the mouth. Whipping us up and down the field. Maybe go back and watch it again.

Yea...TB is over! They stunk it up. We did alright but TB was serving up some weak sauce. Brady was out of sorts for whatever reason. Couldn't throw for any accuracy! Hello...Tom? Where u at?

Great moments are born from great opportunities. Gentlemen, let's take their gold!

This logic is so pathetic.

It's like fans think they have an impact on the outcome by how much they "praise" or "dis" on a player.

Like people who live in the "show me" state.. Um, you realize you're in Missouri?

Nothing wrong with a little humble but this team needs to stand up and come out confident in themselves. No playing hesitant no playing not to lose. They said last season 49er came out with a boom box and a ton of confidence ready to play. Cowboys came out looking hesitant and played as if they were trying not to lose.

LOL it meant very little? To who?

It was a playoff game.
If that game meant very little I’d be very curious to know exactly which games do qualify as meaningful and why.

I guarantee last nights game meant a whole lot more than “very little” to everyone who’s actually in the organization.

Yep, it was one and done just like any other must-win-or-go-home playoff game in history.

This here is one of those things that’s been said and repeated on here so much, that folks just sort of assume it’s true.

I think it WAS somewhat true during the Garrett era but it’s definitely not true anymore.

Look at last season and this season.
12+ wins in each, and we’ve dropped THREE 50 burgers in that time against inferior competition. I doubt any other team has done that. And we’ve had a bunch of games where we scored 30+ points and won by multiple scores.
Objectively speaking we are very good at whooping up on inferior competition.

Yes in that time we’ve also lost some games and been upset by a couple teams, but that’s literally also true for every other good team in the league. There’s no actual trend of playing down to competition. Sometimes good teams just take an L or matchup poorly against a team that might not have a particularly good record.

Great post.

One of my favorite parts of the game is when Aikman was riding Dak about his feet and that "I dunno, I would go for three here." - The 4th and short play he ran into the end-zone?
Gold.

The Cowboys almost won that game. Wilson came within inches of catching that deep ball late. You should go take a look at it yourself.

Not just saying.. some of our "fans" wanted that.. so they could walk around chest thumping like monkeys — about a loss.

Ego is more important to them than anything else.

Or likes they collect from the trolls for being the best troll.
Three sad little Pandas today.

SAS
Tom Brady and the Bucs fans
The gaggle of fans here at the Zone who cannot post vitriol, and "I told you so," about Dak this morning because he had a terrific game.

I have to wonder what the mindset is of a fan who internally roots against his favorite team so he can win an argument against fans of the same team he has never seen in person. I admit there have been times in the past where I argued Cowboy's football with people here just to get under their skin, even though I wasn't certain if my position was right.

But I never rooted against the Cowboys.

Except the year when Aikman was coming out of college and I saw the big picture that Dallas needed a top flight QB, and I thought Aikman was that guy. I still hurt with every loss but was consoled because each loss was a step closer to Aikman coming to Dallas. These folks rooting for Dak to lose so they can win an argument here is entirely different.

I love how Tom Brady is 45 years old, which is senior citizen age in the sport of professional football, then his age is further exaggerated by tacking on SEVEN more years.

:muttley:
Next he's gonna be pushing an IV bag & cart around in those buttless robes

We beat the GOAT. Correction, we kicked their butts.

Give this team respect. If they would have lost this game, we'd be hearing all offseason......
  • Dak can't win the big games
  • MM neads to be fired
  • Lambs a #2 WR at best
  • Trade Micah
  • Retire T Smith

Rat poison schmoison!!! Who cares what the media and fans are saying! If anything it should have the opposite effect. They are 4-point dogs and the game was barely over last night and the talking heads were all over the 49ers.

Yeah, the Cowboys have to be on their game on Sunday but so does every other team in the playoffs. It's the playoffs!!! Holy moly with the OP. I guess I consider myself warned! Enjoy the playoffs a little dude! If you are looking for perfection you are watching the wrong sport!!

I went back and checked. The 49ers outgained the Cowboys by 34 yards and managed to hold on by 6 points as the Cowboys were driving at the end.
