Lots of piling on Dak... Where's all the frustration with Elliott who IMO had a worse game?

I've seen more acknowledging Elliot's lower play on here with only one thread about Prescott not playing well. I still think it's more on WRs and coaching/offensive game plan.

Just watching these Giants cheat forward before Zeke ever has the ball is kind of disgusting to watch..

If we had a TE or big slot guy that could make plays behind the LB's off of playaction it would be over.

This is not a shot at Witten but he just eats up the short stuff.. Along with Beasley.

Maybe Swaim could be this guy for us.. Escobar should've been.

Bryant - sure he can go deep, not particularly his strong suit but he can outjump coverage.
Hands of concrete Williams?
More quick than speedy Beasley who's just a slot guy thus far?
Brice Butler? More a big guy but I guess he has some speed to get deep.
Lucky Whitehead? don't know, they use him on jet sweeps and kick returns.

They tend to like bigger, physical receivers. The coaches are risk averse anyway. Probably figure, if the go deep and don't connect,God forbid they might be in a (gasp) 2nd and 10 or 3rd and 10 situation.

I got a good feeling about the game too.

Kirk Cousins is no Eli Manning. It looks like it's a get right game.

I think the coaches force Dez the ball like they usually do when the media criticizes them and I think Zeke gets an early opportunity and if he doesn't bring it then Alfred Morris has a big day.

i heard them talk about this on 105.3 the fan. said that when zeke was in they were stacking the box and when morris was in they were light in the box. they only counted 1 maybe 2 plays where zeke needed to wait/patience for something and he rushed. not significant enough.

not sure how true this is. didnt get to get into how they found this out but i heard it. i got interrupted so i didnt get to hear the rest of the discussion. anyone hear this?

@Kaiser went and watched the film and 18 out of 20 runs Elliott had no chance...so they either stacked the box or jumped the gaps but one way or another they completely neutralized our running game

I don't think it was me that put up that stat. I agree with the general idea, the Giants clearly gameplaned taking away Dez deep and keying on the LOS for Zeke, but I didn't actually count the plays.

Our OL got beat by their new DL, it is that simple.
Most times it was our OL could not move their DL guys.
We also got out coached, and out game planned, and again made no in game adjustments.
Also Elliot should not be starting yet, Morris should be the starter, and most of us realized that watching the game, but JG stuck with elliot.
I think Morris should be starter and play elliot about like Morris was played in game 1 till he starts seeing and reacting better.

The Giants built a good DL rather quick, so maybe we fare better against wash, but the bad thing is the giants just showed
how to beat us, just take away the run.

Also it seemed to me we should have been throwing to Elliot, he was wide open in the flat a few times, and dak never looked at him.

We telegraph our runs every time Dak is under center, rewatch the game and see for you self every time he's under center it's a run or the same pa rollout we used in preseason.
The reason it kinda worked last year's is because Weeden/Cassell for all their shortcomings could drop back and pass so the D had to account for that even in heave run formations. Dak can't do that yet and the Giants knew this

Zeke had his opportunities and he simply missed some holes by being impatient. The run blocking wasn't great, but neither was his running. Let the play develop. He'll be fine.
