Enough with all the pink on the field!

Coaches, players and refs look stupid wearing all that pink. And with some TVs it looks red. Confusion Central.

Yes, the pink is for a good cause. And many of us have been affected by that terrible disease.
The problem is, there are tons of good causes out there.
How can the NFL in any good conscious now deny identical support for cancer, MS, mental illness, CS, AIDs and HIV charities . . . the list is endless.

How did one organization get to the NFL and persuade it to have its coaches, players, refs and stadium to look so stupid with all the pink?

It's a slippery slope, my NFL friends, on charity. Make one a pet project and reject the countless other good causes.

What happened to the days when a good cause was recognized at halftime and then let the game go on with its pride, it's sanctity and traditional unis?

Tired of my NFL looking stupid for one good cause out of a hundred.

I think they should have had this for one game only, and I agree on the "what about all the other diseases" thing

Dallas gets a W every week. I don't care if they are wearing purple, gold. Yellow, Pink, Orange, Red, whatever.

Just get the W.

Breast Cancer Awarness for a month. It aint gonna kill the NFL to support it for 4 weeks and it sure as hell aint gonna kill any of you to watch.

I don't have a problem with it.

Pink looks red on your tv? Time to get a new tv.

As far as the pink, I think you'll survive one month for an important cause. Get over it.

i agree the NFL could have made more of a contribution by giving all the money the promotion is using straight to the charity....and the pink looks weak

A fair opinion. But there are so many other items on my personal List of Things That Annoy Me that pink gloves and cleats just don't make the cut.

And if it somehow prompts one woman to get a mammogram she was avoiding or gets someone to open their wallet to fund research who wouldn't have otherwise done it, a little annoyance was worth it.

I mentioned this in another thread, and every acted like I farted in church.

Thx for speaking up. There is something to be said about the integrity of the NFL and our team.

There has gotta be a better way. And I have contributed before to the race for the cure and will continue and will keep that great organization in my thoughts.

Just saying . . . .

It's not going to kill you to listen to somebody complain about it.

I don't really care either way. However, I do think it's funny that there is an awareness month for what has to be the most well known cancers out there. Odds are if some chick isn't getting checked, it isn't because she isn't aware of it. You could at least pick a cause that hasn't had near universal acceptance for a decade now.

the Broncos needed more pink on their ugly throwback uniforms

Maybe not, but maybe. Both my daughters watched the game this Sunday. My youngest watched in her brand new Witten Jearsey and specifically asked my wife why some of the players were wearing pink. My wife explained it to her. You can't tell me that it doesn't have a benefical effect cause I saw it myself.

:)

I agree. I like the sentiment, but the NFL has gone overboard here IMO.

And why the hell do we call it breast cancer awareness? Is there anybody out there who still isnt AWARE OF BREAST CANCER? ANYBODY AT ALL?
