Yea this year sucked but... I really don't think this team is anywhere near as bad they appear. Most positions on this team look like we have a capable person filling it, the entire o-line, WR, the d-line looks to be really good (especially DE), our LBs when healthy are some of the best in the league, and even our secondary is looking better than I thought possible when the season began (coming in at 6 in passing yards per game, and no we haven't been blown out that much so it's not that teams are giving up on their pass game). If we score 3 more points in each of our games, we are in the playoff race, we score a TD more, we are 10-4... try telling me Romo doesn't make that much difference.

We need a few more tools on defense (and hopefully get Hardy and McClain back), we need a new RB to go with McFadden (who has surprised me this year), and most of all we need a guy capable of coming in for Romo when he takes his annual sabbatical. This is a lot like the 2011 Colts or even last years Vikings, we are missing that one guy that the whole game revolves around, but we will be back next year better than ever (with that being said, who knows if I will watch anymore professional football between now and the Super Bowl). *Puts on flame proof vest* okay tell me how wrong and stupid I am, I am ready.

There is nothing wrong with the personnel on the field just the general who is leading them. Don't get me wrong, this team is far from perfect but it has a lot of talent that is underutilized with very poor schemes. Our coaching gives us zero advantage on the other teams we play.

So a team should just quit when the starting QB goes down because there is no way to win with a backup in the NFL??? lol This after we just watched the epitome of an NFL journeyman / backup QB beat us last night. Please wake up and realize that coaching matters in this league of parity. We actually have one of the better rosters top to bottom in the league. Teams can and do win with backup QB's in this league.

I did not.

Brady goes down and Cassel fills in and makes the Pro Bowl. He comes here and looks like garbage.

Weeden comes here and looks like crap but goes to Houston and is an adequate replacement.

We have a serious coaching problem here.

Cassel hasn't been an NFL capable QB for years

To be fair, Weeden looked very good in both of the games he entered in relief for us over the past two years, which is what he did today.

If we don't get some new coaches in here then it won't matter. I've never seen a team completely fall apart like this one did when Romo went down. That's inexcusable.

It happened once before in 2010 and it cost our coach his job.

When it is not working you have to make a change unless you like getting bad results. .

I liked last year just fine up until the bogus overturned call, didn't you? And can you honestly tell me that our offense doesn't score 3 more points per game with Romo in the lineup this year (if we do that we are playoff bound)? You are just like all of those who wanted to trade Romo to be able to draft Manziel (because Romo wasn't working)... where are those people now?

Never? I take it you didn't watch the Colts at all in 2011?

The colts and Jim Caldwell are actually a very good historical example of what we are seeing in Dallas—an average coach and his staff being elevated by superb qb play. Once that qb is unavailable, they are left exposed.

Caldwell’s record With Peyton: 24-8

Caldwell’s record Without Peyton: 17-28

What about the three years before last? Did you like those years as well?

Any intellegent person can look at Garrett's body of work while head coach and come to the conclusion that last year was the exception, not the norm.

It's blatantly obvious that he cannot outcoach his opponent week in and week out. Hell, even players have commented on that.

As for me personally, I've watched him enough to know that the man has a hard time knowing when to call timeouts. He has a hard time knowing when to throw a challenge flag. He has a hard time knowing when to go for it or not on 4th down. It's at the point now that it's embarrassing. Forget wondering if we can win consistently with him. He has been here long enough to know the answer to that. At this point it's just embarrassing.

So where do we go from here? Do we keep trotting him out there on the sidelines next year hoping for different results or do we move forward with somebody who actually has a chance to utilize the talent that we have?

That game last night against the Jets and how it ended was the exact game I and the rest of us have watched probably about 6 or 7 times this year. When this team gets in a situation at the end of the game where we have a chance to win the same thing has happened, over and over and over again. They know what will happen before it happens because their head coach has failed in making them believe or play like that can change things and win those games.

We've seen enough.

Can you do me a favor and compare backup and starting QB records around the league (I wonder who does better!)
