The Cowboys cut defensive tackle Cedric Thornton, whose $3 million base salary was guaranteed this year, according to a source. Thornton signed a four-year deal worth $17 million last year.

Basically just need him to be a space eater for 15-20 snaps, which is unfortunately all Thornton ever gave us.

It was. Maybe they're confident they'll find someone who'll be of better service than Thornton, even if he's not a DT. We'll see.
