Going to have to give up some pass rush and have those big bodies man the inside.
And at one point, I saw Bo or Hankins cause a sack by pushing the pocket into the QB's lap. So, you do get a pass rush by having big stout dudes there, just a different type of pass rush. But, even more effective.

He is compared to Hankins!!!!!

For a DT, 6-3/305 is rather lanky. Sort of a tweener, not lanky but not stout either.
He is listed at 6'2. 6'2 305 with incredibly short arms is definitely not "lanky".

Im surprised either he or Hill have gotten playing since Quinn got. Both are antithesis of what Quinn looks for in defensive lineman. Particularly the interior

I think this alignment would really stop all those inside runs, however, our ends also need to do a better job with outside containment, teams are taking advantage of their overaggressiveness.

Absolutely not true. We gave it up in the middle consistently. I swear, where do you guys get this from?

OK, now look at what I wrote again. You really didn't respond to my post at all. I did not say he was lanky, but you still repeated yourself!!!!!!

Bohanna has had a large uptick in snaps this season VS last. Was around 40% before Hankins. I just dont think they were satisfied with his play

I did respond to your post. In the OP you referred to him as "lanky". I said he isnt lanky. Then you changed it to lanky compared Hankins. I think you may not know what the word means, because calling Gallimore "lanky" is a gross mischaracterizion

And in the 2nd post that you responded to, I said that he wasn't really lanky. Go reread it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The "don't think you know what it means" is a cheap shot. I really thought you were better than that. Do you want me to respond w/ your inability to comprehend the language now? Cmoooon, dude, stop. That's troll crapp.

Hankins getting more reps will help, and hopefully anybody but Leighton is playing MLB next season. He's soft as a Kleenex.

Im not trolling or a cheap shot. Make better points and use of language if you dont want people pointing. You're use of the word makes it appear you dont know what the word means. If you dont like that, again make more of an effort to make an effective statement. Dont get offended when people call you out it.

Gallimore's size is not remotely lanky for a DT. 6'5 305 would be "lanky". Gallimore is 6'2 not 6'3 anyways

Osa shouldn't be a starter. He should be a third down DT. Bohanna and Hankins should be the starters.
Odighizuwa would be ok on run downs if he had a more stout defensive tackle next to him. Bohanna just isnt very good. Hopefully we start giving Hankins the 40% of snaps we were giving Bohanna

Feel like we struggle mostly against QBs that can run…Fields is about as good as it gets.

It doesn’t help we refuse to let Parsons play MLB in base defense to help the run. Teams run right at him bc he’s undersized and he can’t set an edge.

He should’ve spied Fields most of the game.

As phenomenal as a pass rusher as he is against QBs like today MLB would make so much more sense.

Gallimore has no push on run plays. He just gets moved wherever the O line wants him to go. He gives you nothing on pass plays either. We might need to pick up another DT. I don’t see how the team can keep playing him.

Yeah, he's a problem...LOOKS the part but that's it...paper Tiger.

So you don't think a 280 lb guy playing for the 45% of the snappers is getting pushed backwards?

Ah, the childish pouting response. Apparently you're not capable of adult discussion. Go away and do some reading so you won't miscomprehend everything. Sad stuff, dude, sad stuff. You're so hung up on one little word that you're not even able to understand what's being said. I think you should make a lot more effort to stay on topic and be an adult.

It is even sadder that you don't even understand the point. You should stay away from any discussion since you have so much trouble understanding concepts. This one is pretty simple, so really, go do some reading, maybe take some classes so you won't have this trouble again comprehending simple ideas.

At this point, Osa looks like a nice rotational player. I haven't seen starting ability from him.

How was Hankins?

I thought he played well, takes up two blockers every play. Problem is Quinn loses that pass rush he loves with him in.

But against mobile qb's at least we cannot continue to get killed like we have. The reason we can't stop it is losing contain but also because were susceptible up the middle on runs. Hankins helps with that.

You have to be willing to be a bit more conservative on d and play some contain. Let Micah play some more middle instead of rushing the passer
