He DOES NOT have the physical skills to be a quarterback... The only physical skills he has is his size, and his arm strength... And his arm strength is irrelevant because he does not release the ball quickly... He needs time to set up and make the throw... that is why he fails when playing behind an average O-Line... it is like Ryan Leaf... a physical specimen, without the necessary tools... and Bledsoe's strength is failing him anyways... he couldn't get the ball to TO in Philly when TO was wide open...

He is also incredibly stupid in terms of defenseive coverages... his last interception of which will be most likely his last, was ALL ON HIM... Madison had Glen at the line on a 3 yard route... and Glen was not his primary target... yet, he stares at Glen from the very beginning and throws it right to Madison...

Romo audibled at the line when he saw TO in single coverage, with the corner playing off of him... he adjusted... the only time Bledsoe adjusts is to call the 'kill-kill'... he than lofts the ball in the air.. he is incredibly stupid at reading coverages as well as sensing where the blitz is coming from..

the other interceptions by Romo were flukes... Jones was clearly held on the screen play, and it was only youth that caused Romo to force it... but what can you expect... he had three men in his face, and this is nothing but inexperience... but the call itself was the right play... Jones was held, and if he was not, the screen would have picked up major yardage...

Pretty much everything you stated has to do with mental aspects, not physical, except for the release. Release is important, but that is really the only physical issue he has - if he could grasp it mentally, I feel like he would be a good QB.

It was so great to see our TEs catching passes again. I for one really give Parcells a bunch of credit for this move. He convinced Bledsoe to come here and he convinced JJ he could still play. He admitted on national tv after the half that he was wrong. Parcells will coach the bad decisions out of Romo. He has been grooming him. Parcells even says many kind things about Romo. How many former QBs reaped praise from Parcells? I trust that he sees something in this guy, Heck I saw it. He seems very charismatic and brings new energy to this team. I for one really want to see more of him. I have been waiting for over a year now.
Parcells couldn't coach the bad decisions out of Bledsoe, how is he going to do it for Romo?

By that point the team went on a major winning streak and Brady was playing pretty well. That wasn't a case of Belichick making a tough decision and making the right decision. It was a case of Belichick making a decision that was a no-brainer and he would've been idiotic to go back with Bledsoe.

I'm not suggesting that this situation is the same as what happened in New England but when Brady first came in Pats fans were like, "well, our season's over now" and the rest is history. It'd be nice if lightning could strike twice but I'm not suggesting it will.

Here's the thing.

Last year when Bledsoe got time, he generally played very well. In fact, he was exceptional in the first 6 games, until Flozell got hurt.

The thing is that this year when he's gotten time, he's not played all that hot. The only receiver he's anticipated well this year is Glenn. He's struggled anticipating Witten, Owens, and Crayton.

His play in the Giants game was indicative of his play in the Texans and Titans games, along with the Jacksonville and Philly games. However, it wasn't indicative of his play in 2005.

Bledsoe is 34 years old and he's pretty much a known commodity at this point. Just because he doesn't take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl isn't a bad thing. But Dallas has to know that more sooner than later they'll need to have a QB of the future. Romo is at the point now where he's in his 4th year and knows the offense down pat. He's at the point where the only way he's going to improve is to get playing experience. So Dallas needs to see if he's got a shot of being a solid starter or if they need to look to the draft.

We got one solid year out of Bledsoe and that hopefully allowed Dallas to give Romo a much needed year to develop. If Romo works out, given that Bledsoe was relatively an inexpensive pickup....I think Bledsoe was well worth signing.

One thing you have to consider is that teams didn't really know what to expect with the cowboys that year with Bledsoe, they were still a pretty new team in terms of personel. Later down the year post-Flozell, he was exposed, teams figured him out, and knew that he just needed to be pressured ever most slightly to completely disrupt the entire offense. I think they let him get away with much more than he should have because of the "unknown" factor, but once they see the offense a little bit and know what's going on... his play plummets.

I agree that he will end up being a good signing if he quits now. Romo needs all the time he can get since he wasn't really a top prospect. He's shown the weaknesses of the offense and has brought Terry Glenn back to the upper echelon of receivers in the league. So hopefully our future is paved.

Lofting a ball 80 yards in a quarterback challenge is an irrelevant physical skill... it is useless.. Release is the most important physical asset a quarterback can have, knowing full well the speed at which defenses play at the pro level... receivers get open for split seconds...

mental and physical ability need to be clicking... Drew doesn't have either... he can't sense the defense... he also has to wind up before he releases the ball, and that is why you see him patting 3 or 4 times... you only pat like than when you are trying to go for a receiver because he is open for a split second, but you just can't get the ball in there...

his being sacked is combination of both things... it's not just his 'mobility'.... that's why Philli beat us, and the Giants borrowed the same philosophy... once your mentally in Bledsoe's head with a LITTLE pressure, it is OVER... he is not going to beat you...
