Me personally, I am a little disappointed.

I thought he looked like a deer in headlights personally. Rookie. He will get better as he goes along. Sean Lee was not much back in the day either as I recall. Too early to call him Barbie IMHO.

He and Ward led the team in tackles with 4. He nearly made a nice interception and he wasn't a liability.

I'll take that in his first pre-season action.

Seen him lost and confused a few times. Would like to see him play some WLB next to Jaylon in case Lee gets hurt.

Jaylon is starting to look like a stud and should be running away with the MLB job.

When we drafted LVE I think the board consensuses was he's raw. Well yes he is.

Leighton was doing that, not sure if you seen it but he was making calls and getting guys lined up pre-snap

Me too. I think the kid will come around and be a very good player, but first round draft picks, especially in the teens, should start from week 1.

LVE isn’t anywhere near ready to start.

Exactly, you see the size, speed and movement skills. He will contribute right away even if he isn't starting - and there is a good chance he is starting by midseason.

Also it wasn't in the box score but it was impressive when he would have had an INT but the ball was slightly out of bounds. How many MLBs make that play?

Yep plus if ya catch it out of bounds it dont count LVE is going to be great

I was encouraged with how he took on blocks. Looks like he has improved that aspect in the short time since college. That's a plus.

I still think he's a year away from making a significant impact. Looks to me, a bit like Taco, that he has the physical traits but hasn't yet nailed down his craft. Still very early to be making predictions but I think he'll look a different player come week 10.

He'll be fine. And if he did look tenative or over thinking things, I think having actual game tape to breakdown with the coaching staff should help immensely. The more film work he puts in, the less thinking he'll need to do
