Thoughts/Opinions about yesterday's comeback win

This is my opinion based on what I saw. But since I am a fan, and truly have no inside information, this is merely conjecture.

The offense struggled in the first half. It seemed Houston was disrupting most plays. And the defense struggled to win control.

But... What changed in the second half?

Too many times I have seen complaints on this site about half time adjustments. But yesterday was a prime example of the team making changes and executing. Can we as fans attribute the turnaround to changes made at the half? And if not, explain how the tables turned.

I have often thought when I see the complaints about no half time adjustments it is merely fans grousing about the end results. But something significant was different in the second half. Dak and CeeDee were part of that. But there is more to it than just pitch and catch.

Excuses just to not want to see or admit the slightest improvement.
lmao. Numbers are numbers.

Texans had the third-best offensive performance by EPA (behind Dallas) last week.

The Cowboys' defense stinks. They have no passrush and they can't cover. It is what it is. Marginal improvements are just based on the opponents they've played, to this point. The good news is that they don't play another good offense until mid-November.

Outstanding post.
And to be more specific the oline pass protection was a night and day difference.

The oline got manhandled/dominated in the first half attempting to protect the passer.

Houston dee did not have that same pass rush success AT ALL in the second half.

I thought this was the primary reason for the Cowboys winning the game because if the Houston dee pass rush would have found the same success in the 2nd half as they did in the first, the Cowboys would have lost.

Then if the numbers on average improve.
That will be your reasoning.
Always looking at the negative.

The offense needs to kick in gear sooner. They didn’t seem to have a good game plan first half, play calling suspect as was the situational HC decisions. Second half O was lethal. Playcalling got better, like they found something Houston couldn’t hide. Dak threw some lasers esp on some the deep out routes. Really impressive. We need to toss it up for grabs a lot more with Pickens than we are. If he’s one on one just give him the chance.
The DL got some pressure, that’s an improvement over none. Still a work in progress. They haven’t found their strengths yet and Parker hasn’t schemed them well enough for stops. Too many people running wide open. But some improvement albeit small. Turpin was good on ST. Schotty needs to read late game coaching and playcalling for dummies.

Yes the numbers will get better against worse teams. This is always true. Most NFL defensive metrics, over the course of an entire season, are just a reflection of strength of opponent.

I don't know how I'm negative. It's a team that can't give up less than 27 points and has not improved and inch against the pass. Numbers are numbers.

Things like the very first play of the game are concerning. Just gotta hope they find a way to tighten things up.

Logic says that they will. There’s talent there and it’s a new system for everyone. Just get out of Thursday at 3-2 and heal up for ten days. See where we are at then.

It’s tough for these guys to learn to play as a unit and communicate well when too many of them are injured.
When you are playing a lot of new players there are going to be miscommunications. Players like Steward is just seeing action recently, same as some of at corner and safety.

I noticed last year at the snap his initial point of attack win rate was not that good.

In fact he kinda falls in line with the previous meh Dallas centers named Connor or Tyler Biadasz that went to Washington imho.

Nothing terrible but nothing really special either honestly.
About average.

I agree but I am a believer that the C has to be one of the strongest performers on the OL.
