1) Barbie Carp: Draft day trade to Miami or NE for something along the lines of a 6th or 7th. If Wade thinks your soft, you cant play in this league. Maybe the Tuna makes a man outta him.

2) Doug Free: Cut after the second exhibition game. I expect the boys to draft at least two OL 2nd to 5th round who make the 53 man roster. When you are inactive all season in your second year, not a good sign.

3) Stanback: This guy is that workout warrior that either never translates to the field or just cant stay Healthy. I think Jerry really likes the guy, but if he gets hurt in camp like I expect, they'll cut em. His only shot is stay healthy and have a good camp particularly on special teams returning kicks. This is also the guy I could see somebody picking up and all of a sudden he does a Jimmy Smith. Either way the boys draft a WR too, but the rookie could take Sam Hurds spot too. I dont think Hurd is an NFL quality reciever from a tools standpoint.

I agree with 2 and 3 but no 3-4 team is gonna trade for Carp...

Can we just wait and see how all three play it out in TC? Really, what's the point cutting them now?

Yeah. We might as well wait for TC now at least for Stanback. I still hope he turns the corner and doesn't shatter his shoulder making that 90 degree turn.

Barbie, I couldn't care any less if he makes it to camp or not. What a waste...

I'm almost there with you; LAST TC to "show or go" for ALL three of these guys.....

Cutting a OL after only two years is nonsense. They love his athleticism and he played at a small school. Really cutting any guy that you have spent two years developing esp out of a small school is folly.

No one sees eye to eye with me on Carp so I am not going to go there anymore.

Stanback I can see being released. OTOH despite his shoulder problems he is still a guy that was converted from QB and missed all of his first offseason/TC.

One thing I am noticing here is an unwillingness to let guys develop.

Free will get his last shot at camp this year just like McQ. If they do not show more then they have they will both be gone.
sadly I am losing confidence that Houck can still get the job done.

Wow, that's very.... specific.

It's about time for the light to come on for all three of those guys. Barbie especially. A former first round pick has to start making plays on the field.

Stanbach isn't going anywhere... He was drafted as a project... So gets another years pass.. Plus I can see him running the Wildcat this year..

While none of these players have done squat yet, I wouldn't be surprised if we kept all 3.

Free is entering his 3rd season, right? So why is this do or die for him as he is expected to be a backup again? I doubt he gets cut. We need young OL on this team as our starters aren't spring chickens. I'm sure we draft 1 or 2 though.

Stanback is entering his 3rd year. He should get more of a chance to show he can play with TO gone (IF he can stay healthy). He won't beat out Hurd (who won't beat out Austin) but I doubt he gets cut unless another unexpected young WR clearly beats him out for the 5th WR spot.

Barbie has been one of the biggest wastes. However, I bet we keep him since we lost Burnett. That kinda moves Barbie up by default to be the primary backup to one or both of the ILB positions or to get a good look at the nickel spot Burnett used to man. And he has no trade value.

I wouldn't be shocked at any being cut or traded although the latter has about zero chance.

Free is developing but any OL brought in could make him expendable if good enough. I doubt he goes though. He should get another year.

Barbie could go esp with Brooking and Stewart on board but I'm guessing he could stay another year although I wouldn't bet on it.

Stanback should get this year if healthy. If not or someone better comes along he's gone, too. My guess is the bottom of the roster is not going to be as stable this year. I'm looking for more churning this year although that's only a guess.

I don't understand why we 'must' draft a WR this year. If the BPA is a WR then sure o/w I don't see it as a need. Some of that does depend on Stanback and more so Austin though. If they believe Stanback's shoulder is fixed and Austin is the real deal then a speed WR is not needed.

Too early to cut Free.

Stanback was expected to be a project anyways so he sticks around atleast for one more year.

Barbie might be gone if we can get any value for him at all through a trade.

I'm fine with being the only one on this board to think Stanback is a star in the making. This could/should be his breakout year.
Sad that Garrett won't use the wildcat but Stanback is a great fit; he has a big arm and with Felix-Stanback in the backfield and Tony out wide here and there it could be

I'm looking forward to this battle in TC. We should either get a vet WR or a draft choice(s) to add to this mix.
