If guys on Twitter can spew crap.... Figured why not me
1. We are not trading up! Can't make it any simpler for those of you in that spectrum. Listen to JJ, JG & SJ
2. We aren't drafting Zeke..... Again listen & pay attention to what we've done the last 2 off seasons in regards to that position.
3. We aren't drafting Tunsil.... Not really much to say here, other than the holes in our D to back up that statement, along with the Green pick last year{which is going to surprise people}

Just don't get these lines of thinking.... It's laughable but maddeness as well......

We are taking the best D player or trading down, no way are we giving up draft picks & going up

I agree...

Ummmm what? Joey Bosa will be a ten year starter in this league.

I know nothing of him, just going by what everyone else is saying. Mixed reviews on him from other posters. Is that what we want with #4 pick. gonna have to do more research

Posters don't like him because they expect every pass rusher to bend like Von Miller, except that Miller would be ordinary in this scheme and wear down quickly.
Bosa can come from either end spot, rush from the inside on passing downs and hold up better than average against the run. He'll give you ten/twelve sacks a year and to me that's top five in this class.

I do still hold out hope that if a QB falls to 4 we will take him.

He is significantly higher rated as a college player than Tyron was.

Yes... But we've now seen Tyron become the best LT in football and he's 25.

At this point it doesn't matter how he was rated coming out of school. We have the benefit of 5 pro seasons to use in our analysis of Smith.

To press the point further... Clowney was rated significantly higher than Watt coming out of school. It'd be foolish today to say he's potentially better than Watt. Because we have additional information to use to evaluate both players.

Common sense.

At 4?

I'd love to have Elliott, but I don't see it happening at 4.
A nice move would be to get him later maybe. But no, not at 4. Just don't see it.

Sure, check back in with me on Thursday night

I we don't we'll probably get to see plenty of him in an Eagles uniform. :(

Bosa won't get past Baltimore at 6... They're very high on him... no pun intended... :)

Perhaps we should take note of that. Baltimore is a team that can draft. They don't panic and allow the draft to come to them. If they like Bosa we need to try to learn what they are seeing.

Just some devil's advocate. Tyron played right tackle in college. Tunsil can step in and play left tackle right now. That would mow down 1,500 rushing yards for virtually any back.

Not my first choice, but it's more intriguing to me than Bosa.

I would seriously hope that Tunsil is not an option. I'm sure he's a great player but this team needs playmakers on both sides of the ball. I always hear teams try to draft the best possible player and not draft because of team needs but the Cowboys have some positons they need to try to take care of

I think Bosa comes in and immediately gives you what you got from Hardy last year (not the Hardy we thought we where getting) at 2 positions. For a rookie that would not be bad and solidifies the DL, especially if you get:

Thorton > Hayden - no brainier
T Crawford 2016 (non injured) > 2015 T Crawford - should be no brainier
Lawrence 2016 > 2015 Lawrence - should be unless back is a issue
Irving 2016 > 2016 Irving - should be
Mayowa - gives you something in the pass rush ??
Gregory 2016 stays off the blunt and out of the training room and > 2015 ??

Then the question then becomes what is Bosa's ceiling Ryan Kerrigan or Jared Allen.

@4 you get Ryan Kerrigan not what you want.

To me the questions is his ceiling, which I am torn on.

Let's hope the Boys scouts know the answer.

Correct, we most likely won't be drafting Tunsil. First, I expect Clev or SD to take him. However, if Tunsil is there at 4, I am pretty confident Jerry Jones and Co. already have multiple offers and the phone will be ringing off he hook come draft day. Balt makes a lot of sense to begin with trading down. Balt needs OL help. Jerry could then trade down even further.

Best Case scenario for the Cowboys and a trade down is if the draft goes Goff, Wentz, Ramsey in the top three. About ten teams might be looking to trade with the Cowboys for Tunsil.

Also, the Cowboys could take Tunsil at 4 and hold him until they work a trade later in the round and get to see which players are still available.

has anyone ever drafted and traded a player on the same day? i don't even think you could do that, only trade rights to the player cause they're not signed yet.

Yes, which white defensive lineman does he best compare to? LOL

I've heard he's similar to Greg Ellis actually. That's good, but not worthy of the 4th pick.

With Jerry at the helm...Speaking in Absolutes as to what will or will not happen on draft day is usually a lesson in humility waiting to happen.

I've seem he compared to Allen by Brugler and Kerrigan by many other draft sites. I believe the Kerrigan comparisons come from guys that view his as 3-4 OLB which I think he could do.

Have not seen he compared to Ellis, but I would not doubt it.

If you take him @ 4 you better believe in the Allen comparisons.

Last I can remember was Eli Manning-Phillip Rivers. I am surprised it doesn't happen more often.
