Thursday Practice Report

No Martin,Irving or Swaim, but they do get Austin and maybe Lee back. I’ll take it.

Zeke full practice.
Lee and Austin and Tyron limited

Martin and Iriving and Swain no practice.

Gregory, listed DNP, but not injury related. Wonder if he had one of those league scheduled meetings in Chicago

TY Hilton no practice for Colts. How huge is that if he is a no go.

I actually think Byron Jones matches up well with TY Hilton.

The Cowboy podcasts say he hasn't even been at the facility. I'd say he's not playing again wearing the Star.
What's the deal? Is Irving faking an injury ala Ratliff? I didn't think a high ankle sprain kept someone out more than 4 weeks.

They can be 4-6 if they're severe enough, the fact that he isn't rehabbing with the trainers tells me he wants out of Dallas. I will add the caveat that they're probably holding him out out of spite since they've probably given up on him.

He has a lot of non football stuff going on, and they are saying he just really isn't into football at the level you need to play in the NFL

I don't think he will ever play with the Cowboys again.

Doesn't seem like it. Let him test the FA market in the off season. I think he gets a contract good enough to at least get a 6th or 7th round comp pick.

Irving has a head injury but the team psychologist can't seem to fix it

Martin is the real issue if he can't go

Heard he was not a good culture fit either. Apparently Lee has been frustrated with his work ethic and approach to preparing for games; to the point that Lee confronted him about it. Our defense is rolling right now and his addition may do more harm than help.

Could be. Could be why Taco has not been active too. Not from the work ethic part. But from a chemistry perspective.
Not sure I buy into the Taco attitude issue.

Yea Taco from all that I have heard does work really hard. From the things that I have seen of late on Taco I think he suffers from feeling entitled to more playing time and he seems to be verbalizing it; which could come off as an attitude issue. This could hurt team chemistry as well; especially with a Kris Richard having influence on the D with his "I got your back, you got my back, we got our back" approach. No I in team; Taco may unintentionally be coming off as selfish.

Work ethic? In todays NFL? There is no work. I'd let him sit away from the team till the season and playoffs are over and CUT him.

It does nothing to cut Irving. I really wish fans will stop this.
I know many want him cut, as it plays into the fans emotions. Hey finally the FO did the right thing or whatever.

Best to keep him, then at least get a possible comp pick for him depending his contract of course.
I understand and agree, but I can't stand a quitter occupying a roster spot while getting paid for it.
