Thursday Practice Report

I understand and agree, but I can't stand a quitter occupying a roster spot while getting paid for it.

I don't put him in as a quitter. This is what gets me about fans. They let their personal feeling and viewpoints cloud their judgements. As we as fans do not know what is really going on.
Maybe he has given up, don't care, taking the money. But until that comes out as the case, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Still injured along with some personal reasons, or could be the injury was more severe. You know how this team drags out players return to the field. always longer than anticipated.

I could be wrong in thinking that way, many disagree but that is the way I look at it.

Also remember if they cut him, he still gets his money. So it does nothing to cut him, if that is the case and he did just give up.
And whoever takes his roster spot, needs to get paid, and would most likely just be inactive anyway, as who would they sign that will be better to be active and produce.

Does anyone know the plan of (knock on wood) if Martin can’t go??

Williams at right guard?

Nope. He's a quitter.

Good question. I would think so since he didn't look bad late in the game. They also have Redmon that filled in decently at times too. Or seems to have idid alright.

Yea Taco from all that I have heard does work really hard. From the things that I have seen of late on Taco I think he suffers from feeling entitled to more playing time and he seems to be verbalizing it; which could come off as an attitude issue. This could hurt team chemistry as well; especially with a Kris Richard having influence on the D with his "I got your back, you got my back, we got our back" approach. No I in team; Taco may unintentionally be coming off as selfish.
Does anyone ever intentionally come off as selfish? ;)

They’ll continue to give David Irving the Rolando McClain treatment, as they should.

You have a player that can be not only a contributor when he’s on the field, but a real difference maker, that’s a rare thing.

On top of that, you are paying him pennies on the dollar for what you would normally have to shell out for his skill level because he has totally screwed up his reputation, and by default his contract negotiation leverage, with his antics.

He’s a very low risk/gigantic reward play. It’s a no brainer how you handle him.

Zeke full practice.
Lee and Austin and Tyron limited

Martin and Iriving and Swain no practice.

Gregory, listed DNP, but not injury related. Wonder if he had one of those league scheduled meetings in Chicago

TY Hilton no practice for Colts. How huge is that if he is a no go.

If TY doesnt play then the excuse train will be gassed up and in full charge if the cowboys win.

What's the deal? Is Irving faking an injury ala Ratliff? I didn't think a high ankle sprain kept someone out more than 4 weeks.

High ankles can keep people out longer than a broken ankle. Do you even follow the game?

It has been rumored that his has off the field issues. I know that's a stretch, but hey, maybe there is something to it. IDK.

No Martin,Irving or Swaim, but they do get Austin and maybe Lee back. I’ll take it.

Yes, but really, even if Lee is able to play, I'd sit him. Most likely scenario is Cowboys are the lowest ranked division winner, as one more loss by the eagles and Dallas wins the division, due to tie breaker on division games with the skins, who are probably going to lose more games anyway with Sanchez at qb.

Historically Lee plays about 5-6 games before he gets hurt, with no bye week the Cowboys would have to win 4 playoff games to win it all, I'd rather have Lee not have to play 7 games by bringing him back for this game.

He's probably going to be gone after this year anyway, let Smith and Vanderesch and somebody else play linebacker...

His his high ankle issues are slightly higher up than the average player. I think his ankle injury occurred at about 6'3" above the ground.
