I was shocked when I heard it, but I don't have a problem with the move. I was more shocked when I saw Stevie caddying for Adam Scott at The Open.

I'll be honest my first thought was....he fired who?

I don't keep up with who these guys caddies are.

He was Scotts caddie the 2 events prior to the Open as well. That did not come as a surprise given the fact Tiger needed to take this time off to fully recover. I'm am surprised that he was fired but maybe in the end it will be for the best. Maybe Tiger feels the need to have a complete new beginning. We will have to wait and see.

Most don't but there are a few on the tour that people have come to know. Like Jim "Bones" Mackay who is Mickleson caddie or Bruce Edwards who was Tom Watson caddie

I didn't realize that he caddied for Scott the previous two events as well, but even more interesting to me is that supposedly Tiger fired him a while ago but they both kept it quiet till after The Open.

Is Fluff still around?

Fluff has been with Jim Fuyrk for a good while now so I don't see him going any where. Based on what I read they kept it quite to prevent it from being a distraction to Scott heading into the Open.

Why do you need a caddie when you aren't playing?

You don't but when he returns it will be without Stevie Williams. Being a big fan of Phil Mickleson I can't say it bothers me too much. As for Tiger this is just another change he is making to try to get his career jump started.

Rumor has it that Williams didn't like Sean Foley and was bashing Foley (and Tiger for going to him) and that got back around to Tiger.

If that is the case then Williams over stepped his bounds.

Things keep unraveling for Woods.

I'm not sure I would put that in the unraveling category. Right now I think Tiger 1st has to get himself healthy but I think there are changes he must make and evidently he felt this was a needed change.

Here you go Tiger with a new caddy lineup

One would think going back to what worked so well would be the common sense move....

and since he is no longer married he can pork all the porno girls he wanted.

So, does this weekends result mean that Stevie Williams is the genius at Firestone?

I don't think so. Williams is a very good caddy but in the end it is still the golfer himself who has to make the shots. Scott went out and played well keeping the ball in the fairways and making the big putts.

You're probably right, but it is very ironic though that with all the who-ha over Woods' return at a course which he has dominated in recent years, that his ex-caddie wins with his new man.

IMO, they're blowing the Williams thing way out of proportion. He didn't seek attention from the media. He simply stated what was on his mind when the media sought him out. He has every damn right to do so, IMO. Good on him.

I think Tiger is desperate. He's changing everything about his game except for the root of the problem...himself. The little humility he showed over the last few years has obviously worn off. He's right back to being the same old **** bag. Tiger looks a little foolish here, although I doubt he'll concede as much.

Good on Scott....it's unfortunate Tiger's ex-caddie is overshadowing his performance this week. Shame on the media.

Steve Williams is a ******..

You'd have thought he was the one actually golfing all these years.

He's made alot of money over the years being Tiger's caddie. Take the high road, get a new job, and move the heck on.
