You couldn't back your position up, and when you were called on it, you ended it by just saying, "I'm right, you're wrong, and there's nothing you can say that will change my mind."

I have no problem with you saying what you want to say. Just be prepared to back it up if you want your statement taken seriously. If you'd rather I never take anything you say seriously again, then say so. However, if you just want to throw out your opinions without having them challenged, you're probably in the wrong place.

Personally, I consider a "professional athlete" to be someone who performs in an event that pays $$$, requires some sort of motor-skills and can't be duplicated with regularity by the average weekend wannabe.

There's little argument a golfer is by-and-large, less "athletic" than a football, baseball or b-ball player. But summarily discounting them as athletes, is moronic.

Jockeys are a case-in-point. They're below average size and weight individuals, but if you're old enough to remember ABC Sports' Superstars Olympic-type competition, was won by Pat Day, I think twice?
