I'm not sure if Tim Brown knows what a good football team is, seeing that he's never really been on one, so... ;)

Funny, Tim Brown played in 12 playoff games

FSN NFL Preview had a "Best of the Cowboys" bit that ended with Jay Glazer saying we're losing all our coaches and are in turmoil.

Tim Brown says he lives in Dallas and Wade is in a tailspin with his staff leaving... And that we're going to be an average football team next year.

(At least Eddie George says our nucleus is back and we'll be fine.)

Funny... Losing Sprano, Todd Bowles, Paul P. and Kacy Rodgers means we're doomed.

ooooo - a negative prediction. i'll go put it with all the others. : )

Tim Brown is entitled to his opinion.

Personally, I don't see us winning 13 games next year. But I can see us possibly winning the division again and certainly making the playoffs.

overwhelmingly in this league, Superbowl winners have at minimum 12 wins -- since the league went to a 16 game schedule (excluding the strike year) -- only 4 teams with 11 or fewer wins won the SB.

so really, in this league, you gotta have 12.

our division may be a little different as we've got 4 of the best 8 NFC teams - playing each other is going to suppress most records.

Clearly, its that ESPN bias against the Cowboys!

And by clearly, I mean completely imagined and offense is taken whenever they don't say "OMG COWBOYS GREATEST EVERZ!11!!11!!11!1!"

And if the Tim Brown Im thinking of is the WR from the Raiders then I dont understand why you all are laughing.

From 1993 - 2002 he started every game he played in those years he pulled in 80 + catches every year but one. Has 15,000 yards and 100 TD's. Is that the Tim Brown you are laughing at??

We aren't laughing at Tim Brown the football player. We are laughing at Tim Brown the football analyst.

But, but, but...he works for FSN. Unless you mean the ESPN long arm reaches all the way over there?

Horrors.

More analysts should talk like Tim Brown.

We have to dump out stock in Kool Aid and Cheese.

Until we let go of a core group of dysfunctional players it doesn't matter who coaches, because we will continue to slide in December and or exit right after the first playoff game.

Wasn't this our third or 4th year of flaming out near the end of the season. It happened under Parcells and it happened under Phillips. At some point you have to accept that a talented team is seriously undermined by some key players that are exquisitely dumb, uncommited and not as talented as we think.

Hes just mad we didnt pick him up right before he retired, I remember reading that he wanted to play in Dallas. Thats cool, expect the hate, cause we are goin to keep getting it until we can at least win a playoff game. We have no one to blame but ourselves this year.

I guess since Tim Brown said it, we might as well cancel the season. I mean, it is Tim Brown.

Wait! Stop the presses. A member of the media speaking negative about the Cowboys? This can't be.

That's it, I'm trading in my Cowboys gear for ... wait, who's the media's next big pick for up and coming team next year?

That doesn't mean we are doomed. Jerry taking the reins of this football team means we are doomed.

We may not be average next year but we are headed in that direction.

How are we in turmoil?? Losing 4 coaches will make us an average team?? Tim must be hating on us, just because he lives in Dallas, what is he close to anyone on team. I doubt he has even been to VR this season.

Great analysis from a has been.

I do not think it is a big deal that he thinks we will be average. I think the Giants looked pretty average for a good part of the season.

Also weren't we up in arms that the media was predicting the Giants would beat us? The NFL is like the stock market. Those who claim to have a crystal ball...do not. That goes for the media and the fans.

Maybe so, maybe not but it seems likely to me. His past record speaks for itself until he shows that he has turned it around.

I agree, this latest failure wasn't anything new. Frankly, I expected them to fail in December and January, just as they have in the past. Next regular season won't mean anything until December and then we'll see if there are any improvements. I'm not holding my breath.

You just summed exactly how I feel better than I could express it myself.

Well, that sure tells me he knows what he's talking about because believing Wade is in a "tailspin" was much more believable.
