Time for Lawrence to step up

I’m sorry but a $100M man doesn’t get a few games to right the ship. He should have been setting the curve.
I agree. I was ready to let him walk when he held out of getting his surgery until they signed him. He knew his healing and getting right time would put him in the regular season. Other teams knew that and likely wouldn’t have signed him till next year after he healed. Or not paid him that much money.

The war daddy got paid and went AWOL. That was a waste of money.
Not to DLaw it wasn't. These owners make billions and they use up these guys and throw them out like trash so why not get paid. If I were a really good player, I would have the same thought process. Your only one play away from not having a career. The owners may care at the time but 2 years down the road when you have no value because of an injury, they fire you and leave you out in the cold. Can you blame them for wanting more money? Greedy, maybe but the whole bunch (owners and players) deserve each other.

I am not even sure I like what I just said but I think it is pretty close from a players point of view.

And I bet you would be one of those players who want this huge fat check then offer nothing to table after your belly is full.

The excuse some were making for him was the same we used to make for Ware, he's got no help.
Or it could be his shoulder is still hurt and he gets double teamed a documented 35% of the time.

Now that teams will make adjustments after Quinn's sudden production DLaw should be freed up to make plays as Cowboy fans are expecting.

At least Tank willingly played under the franchise tag, more than I can say for another entitled diva who demanded a new contract.

that’s because it was a monster, guaranteed raise that he hadn’t quite earned yet that was roughly what the market was anyway, and set the floor for the following years negotiations. It was a no brainer.

unnamed Diva made 12 mil over 5 yrs while delivering and then some. The tag at the time was less than the market and for as physically as he played was a losing proposition all around.

The excuse some were making for him was the same we used to make for Ware, he's got no help. Well, Quinn has arrived and is more worrisome than Lawrence to an OC and QB so the time is now for Lawrence to take Rodgers out of his game.

I didn't say time for him to earn his money because that's a rather ridiculous assumption that paying him more makes him a better player. I just want him to be the same player he was when the OC and QB had to account for him and alter some of the things they wanted to do.

Demarcus Lawrence is the best D player on the team and it is time for him to show that because time is what Rodgers buys better than any QB in the game. He will miss Adams just like he misses Cobb but he's as good a spread the ball around QB as there is and it is time for Lawrence to announce his presence.
..lol.. coach, I thought you would never write something to this matter. This is like a rock in your shoe and cant wait to sit and take it out. I second yer emotion. I was yelling at the telly, "C'mon friggen Dlaw earn your money, rip off".

What is weird, why do players stats and highlights drop off when they sign the big check? Its almost like a self made jinx. Im sure Dlaw wants to do well, but conundrums tend to have the upper hand.

Quinn is making him look like a rip-off. RIght now, LVE, Smith and Quinn are the top dogs. Dlaw starting to look like an island out there. We need his skills big time this Sunday.

Unnamed diva hasn’t been in the league for 5 years, talking about the Ewok there.

Seriously? My goodness man! This guy is on your mind too much.

I have to disagree on best player on D. I think that might be Leighton by the end of this year.

Maybe he’d be better if he’d have had his surgery when he should have instead of using it for leverage. If we’d have taken Watt instead of Chalupa we could’ve saved the $$ and let Tank shove off.

No, not really. Look at my post history Corso, I’ve barely ever brought it up. You might want to check yourself and see who’s renting space in whose head.

Dude...
Lol.

He will.....not that he's played bad but I see what you're saying. He needs to have more impact .......
Spot on. He has been average. If you're making 21 million a year you need to step up and be the best defensive player on the team. He's been nowhere near that. Same thing applies with Zeke although that line was horrible Sunday. He had been decent before the Saints game.

Sacks aren't everything but Demarcus got half of his sacks in the first four games of the last two seasons. When you are being paid 21 million a year like he is you better sack the QB, pressure the QB, stop the run, and make game changing plays. He's not doing that through four games. That's a lot of change folks. I feel like my life is in danger when I criticize his contract. I don't get it. This team is 3-1 with/without DeMarcus Lawrence right now. He's made no impact this year. I really do hope that changes. He's the kind of guy I'd want for the right price.

Right now it's Byron, Quinn, LVE, Maliek, and Jaylon as your top 5. If you're making 21 million you better be in there end of discussion.
