Utterly lopsided advantage in time of possession for Dallas.

A few more rushing first downs and defensive stops for the Cowboys and it could have approached something ridiculous like 50 minutes for Dallas, 10 minutes for Philadelphia.

Fastest 3 and out in the league if you can pull it off. It really puts their defense at a disadvantage, whereas the Cowboy offense makes the defense better

They kept running the ball even though it wasn't working well. But, in the end you eat up some clock and keep your defense off the field. I think we needed to throw from under center a little more on 1st down because the Eagles were cheating on the run and they needed to keep them honest with the pass (can't believe I'm saying that). But, tough to gripe too much about scoring 37 points on the road.

I think I heard somebody call it a gimmick last week.....

It's not a gimmick. But it has absolutely no fall back for lack of performance. You're not even burning a minute or two by running the ball. Its basically 75 seconds and punt if you go 3 and out.

Basically its a very basic offense that if you keep it in front of you and don't miss tackles a lot you have a pretty good chance to stop it. Now they have a very good line and RB and some decent talent at the receivers which can make it hard to stop.

Play action on 1st down when they're playing 8+ in the box and run blitzing every single time.

People will disagree but I think at times the running game was a detriment at times. It kept giving us 2nd and 13. Just one of those rare games.....Stick with the run but hopefully in the near future we get more productive runs unlike this game. Its real hard to sit here and watch things unravel like today.

Tough to play action against a blitz. They are a heavy blitzing team, so I can see why they didn't go play action.

I don't think it is even fair to judge it until Kelly gets a real QB to run it. Foles and Sanchez certainly don't qualify, yet they typically have no shortage of scoring.

I agree to a certain extent. They then started to throw a bit on 1st down and got some nice plays and then went back to the run and Murray got a few good runs. We really need to throw a little more with Romo under center. I think they may be a little worried about Tony's mobility getting back and not getting sacked.

While that is true the time of possession advantage we had tonight clearly kept our defense from getting gassed like they were on Thanksgiving.

Didn't we win TOP on Thanksgiving also or was it just the first half or quarter?

also look at total plays (which is what Kelly system is based on) last two weeks:

Dallas : 76
Philadelphia: 53

Seattle: 85
Philadelphia: 45
