Time to trade for a RB, but who?

I think our most viable trade options for a respectable RB would be:

Hanna - Not sure what he would bring but a complete TE who plays ST may be attractive to a team.

Escobar - I would hate to lose him but he may be our best bait for a starter quality RB

Jeremy Mincey - Rush ends are premium maybe we could sell high?

Devin Street - Another nice game and maybe he becomes attractive

I'm just looking at options with the least team impact. Please offer opinion on what these guys could bring or someone that could bring us a RB in a trade.

The RB we will look at will be guys who are competing for a 3rd RB sort of roll.

You don't trade for that guy - at least you don't trade anyone who is a roster lock for him

No, you do not trade any of them. Unless Swaim plays lights out, then maybe Hanna, but prefer not to.

And it's not to the point they need to make a trade yet.

Why are people so eager to trade away picks and players. When we need that depth. It took this long to get to this point and have depth. So why trade it away. Give it a few more weeks, we are getting all 3 top RBs back tomorrow., or supposed to.

Anybody coming in now, even with a trade is a backup. It's Randles job. Btw a strained oblique is like getting bit bit by a bee, nada!

I think Escobar, Hanna, or a DT will be a trade piece if we go that route.

I think that if Dallas does get anything more than another team's cuts, they won't trade a player. Instead, I think they'll use draft picks. The Cowboys will have some extra picks next year from their free agent losses, so maybe they'd be willing to do it.

None of those players mentioned in the OP are really anyone the Cowboys will be looking to move, IMO. Escobar is really talented and they wouldn't want to part with him. Mincey is a better player than a lot of people think and without him, the absence of Hardy would hurt significantly more.

Street and Hanna just wouldn't bring that much in return, I don't think.

The pick we used on Swaim...Maybe they were hedging bets and thinking one of our guys could be trade material. The pick we used on Swaim could be one we like to have in our pocket to make a trade. The whole deal was peculiar. I agree that TE is a spot of depth and could be used for a RB if necessary.

So we are for sure keeping 4 rb's if we trade for one? (with Randle, McFadden, and Dunbar).

If we trade for a player, it better be for someone we couldn't get otherwise. Randle is a young guy who has shown potential, so I don't see any other young former backups being better than him. McFadden is a vet with the physical tools who has a chance to turn it around in Dallas, so I don't see anyone else in that same boat being better than him. Point is, only type of player who would be better than what we already have is a proven starter. And the only real trading piece we have who could net us a proven starter is Leary, the starting LG for the past two years on the best O-line in the league. You don't trade Leary for anyone who isn't without a doubt better than Randle and McFadden.

What changed between today and yesterday?
All three of their top RBs are still expected back soon.

Unless you mean forus to add another Gus Johnson or Seastrunck type...but would never trade forthat.
