Um, Murray is the exact same way. Now that Murray isn't in a contract year how do u think he's going to play? Will the wrist injury he played through last season put him out a few weeks if he has a similar injury this year? Murray had a good year, but honestly I wasn't a big fan of his, I felt he played last season for a contract. Now McFadden is in a contract year, playing for very little. He probably could of got more elsewhere, yet he signed in Dallas imo because of the line. Let's see at the end of the year who's been healthy then look back.

Um, Murray is the exact same way. Now that Murray isn't in a contract year how do u think he's going to play? McFadden has averaged 12 played per season.

Murray has averaged 13 games played per season.

Both played all 16 in 2014 for the first time.

Most RBs with over 370 carries had a down year the following season and most never really recovered. Considering that Murray had 392 carries, I think McFadden has a better probability of staying healthy this season than Murray.

Given the overall strength of our roster, the RB position is considered the weakest and therefore will garner the most attention. Even if we had made a deal for AP there would have been less than flattering comments about him too. It's just like all the mediots picking the Eagles to win the East this year. What can you going to do about it? Nothing.

Yeah, I wasn't for getting AP. Honestly at the end of the season I told my son, who's also a huge cowboys fan, that we should let Murray walk, sign McFadden for cheap, give dez a 5yr 70 mil with 40 guaranteed, then try to work on the D line. When Dez signed for 70 and 45 my son was laughing asking if I'm a witch lol.

I liked Murray. I saw talent in his first two seasons. The season where he went over 1k+, we didn't run enough, and then last season when he got 1800+ yards. I think he's good all around, not exceptional. I would have kept him for 6 mill a year.

This team has tons of upside right now. I think if we had kept Murray, we'd be closer to superbowl contenders.

Now RB is question mark for us and I'm personally banking on Randle.

True but you need to look at what McFadden was playing with. Changing coaching every 6 weeks (joking) his OL wasn't very good, nor was his QBs. Last year a rookie QB and faced 8+ in the box about 70% of his carries.

I admit both have had injury issues but Murray has been in a better situation than McFadden. Maybe I'm just hopeful but honestly I see McFadden having a better season than Murray.

As for better with Murray, it depends, with our line, qb, and receivers our RBS should shine regardless who the RB is, and Murry was a fumble waiting to happen. He cost us the game against GB not Dez or Tony.

Odd that we are discussing McFad's injury outlook. could it be that he is healthy only half of the time? I mean, damn, the Raiders let him walk. and we got an injury prone guy.

McFadden's best year was 2010. He ran for 1157 yards. No other season in his seven years did he break 725 yards. His top four years as a running back he posted (2010) 1157, (2011) 614, (2012) 707, (2014) 534 for a total of 3012 yards in four seasons.

Murray's best year he ran up 1845. In 2013 he hung up 1121 yards. His last two years he posted 2966 yards from scrimmage in the running game.

Your assumption Murray was simply playing for a contract last year ignores that he posted almost as many yards as McFadden's best season behind a line that featured Bernadeau and Waters. My suggestion is you might be jaded.

But what really strikes me as a feeble attempt to justify Murray leaving by most is the way those of you supporting this change ignore the way the offense played last year.

Your assessment, it was only the line. Yet he eclipsed 1100 yards the season before.

Let's wait and see what we've got always seems so positive. Yet the offense ginned like no time before with a Romo, Bryant and Murray.

I heard Everson Walls being interviewed on the radio this past week. The radio host asked him what worried him the most for the coming year. He stated his biggest concern was the offense trying to recapture what the second set of triplets accomplished. He was not shy about saying this might be a huge mistake.

I don't know what McF will bring. But to take his career and somehow compare it to Murray's in any way is either wishful thinking, naivete', or sour grapes.
