McCarthy is on his last year. Dak is on his last year ( but im sure he gets an extension this off-season).

If the team doesn't advance deep into the playoffs, the head coach is gone, maybe the QB too. Unless the new DC feels like he could be the next head coach, why come here? If this team doesn't make a Superbowl run, the head coach is gone as well as the coordinators

We don’t have the brightest of fans, but Zimmer is a good defensive coach. If I remember correctly it was BP who did think very highly of him. Guys like playing for him.

Vrabel would be a great hire but they won't do it.
He would bring toughness to a soft defense.
I heard he was leaning towards sitting out a year.

Harris is probably another year away from the DC position but I'd be okay with the gamble. Thing is, he's probably
leaving with DQ.

Exactly. The Cowboys are stocked with talent on defense... like half your unit is Pro Bowl level players. They are the kind of guys who can make any scheme look good.

You call any old plays with them, and they'll get a bunch of sacks and picks. And even if the Cowboys 2024 season goes down in flames... again... you can tell owners that you did your job during your next HC interview.

Riverboat Ron needs to Big beefy dudes in middle to run his Defense + a Rangy Middle LB, we have a 300lb Mazi and a 280lb 3T in Odigi all the rest are leaving in FA for now. Unless we resign Hankins but still need backups / Starters.

The only way this makes sense is that Rivera is the type to be super pliable to meddlesome owners. He made it 4 years under Dan the Man Snyder.

At this point, he'd be lucky just to get a playcalling job anywhere in the NFL. If Jerry gives him one, he'll politely bow and do absolutely nothing to rock the boat.
