How can anyone possibly know this? Because of the divisional game? A lot of our players stunk it up in the 2nd half.

It's not like Barber has never started a game for us before either. You can't say he can't carry the load when no one has seen him do it over an extended period of time.

You can't say he can, either. The fact is that even in college he was never "the guy", he split carries with Laurence Maroney.

It's a question of hoping Barber can be an every down back vs knowing he can be effective in a part time role. I'll take knowing every time.

I take it you too were a fan of the late Joel Buschbaum (aka the anti-Kiper)?

This time of year leading up to the draft is when I miss him the most. Rest in peace, JB.

I did enjoy reading Buschbaum around draft time. Very few publications compare these days.

As for "Jujo," maybe Tuna's mind games did get to him. He's just not the same guy he was his first two years. Some guys do not respond well to mind games and Julius was never known for his mental toughness. He also looks more like a LB, physically, than a RB.

I like Julius Jones better than any other Free Agent option still out there. I'm a little shocked that Atlanta paid so much for Michael Turner. They could have taken a RB at the top pf the 2nd round or McFadden in the 1st round. Really stupid move IMO.

I agree with that to some degree but I really want the Cowboys to select Ray Rice at 28, so I really don't care at this point. If he were to come back and we did not get Ray Rice I wonder if he would be willing to return KO since he was very good at that in college.

Why is this so amusing?

A large part of this board was defending Jones at this same time last year claiming Coach Parcells was the reason why he was ineffective.

Strangely, they have all become silent.

I was one of the Jones defenders. I must say that the Barber crowd proved me wrong. After Jones' display on the field last season and Barber almost breaking 1000 yards and earning a trip to the pro bowl as a backup, there really isn't much to defend or argue in regards to who is the better running back.

I have been rolling on the floor for 10 min, I cant breath I have been laughing so hard. Some golden nuggets from posters:

1. JuJo is a young Eddie George
2. Their offense is going to be SICK with him.
3. Barber is overrated and held JuJo back.
4. He is lightning quick
5. He is worth $3 to $4 mill per yr.

HAAAAA BAAAAAAA HAAAAAAA BAAAAAAA

:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

Reminds me of the CowboysZone board when Julius Jones first arrived. Some people here act like they favor ExtremeSkins reactions when a player they originally liked goes somewhere else.

I thought JJ was better than last year. He may be. I don't see it anymore though. He's lost something. A tad bit of a step and some fluidity IMO. I really believe with some weight loss, speed training, and stretching (I mean stretched out) would bring some or all of it back. But I may be full of it, too. I didn't feel Barber was as good as he is either. I thought they were both good. Barber is a touch better than good. JJ is a touch less than good.

And the Titans can have him. It's time to turn a new leaf. I'd not be too upset about JJ staying but I'd rather have new blood and see what happens.

Well, I was one of the ones who thought he was going to be special. I was so caught up in his rookie performance that I had trouble letting go of that. I felt like it was always right there, just waiting to bust out.

I do remember when we drafted MBIII that someone said that he would be the starter over Julius before we knew it. I don't remember who it was, but I was convinced they needed a straight jacket. Not because I didn't like MBIII, but because I thought Julius was going to BLOW UP.

Well, he didn't blow up, he imploded.

And I also remember some wanted to cut Barber because he fumbled a couple of times.

If he signed with them I wouldn't be at all shocked if Alexander was 86ed.
